If Furnish is given space, even from 25+ feet chances are he's shooting it. And the odds are it's going in. He made it look easy in the first frame, connecting five times from distance. Including volleyball line threes. The early lead his shooting built was crucial for Crossings, as they nearly led wire to wire. They briefly gave up the lead in the fourth but cool and calm Cal helped navigate the bumps and delivered the win with more scoring and his elite vision. He knows when to set up his teammates and when to put the team on his back with his own scoring. The ORU signee is the leader of a 4A Knights squad that is now 4-0 against Class 6A competition this season.

Usually when Furnish is in the gym, there isn't much of a debate on who's the best shooter is. That's how good Pogi already is that the best shooter on Saturday afternoon was a debate. And there's a chance the edge as a pure shooter might go to Pogi. Pogi hit big shots throughout and especially turned it up in the final frame as a key part of Southmoore's rally attempt. This is the third write up on the state's best sophomore in the past week. And if this week is any indication on how his season will play out, the offers are about to start pouring in because he's playing at a high level and his ceiling as a scorer is immense.

Senior leader for an Eagles squad with aspirations of the Class 3A State Tournament. Grabs defensive board and looks to push the tempo with above average speed and quickness. Has some wiggle with the ball and can get skinny on drives to go between defenders, then finish strong. Foul troubled slowed down his second half, but evidence of his all around, well drilled game were clear. One of the better guards in Class 3A.

The man in the middle for Crossings was key in beating up teams on the glass in their Thursday and Saturday wins. He's embracing his role as a bruiser and enforcer by crashing the glass hard and setting hard screens. Continues to have great chemistry with Furnish on those screens. Is the anchor in the middle for a Crossings' squad that's playing some of the best ball in the state right now.

Bouncy forward that is fitting into and staring in a role. Connected on a pair of big corner threes during a second half rally. A consistent jumper would be a great sign of the evolution to his game. Gets great elevation on rebounds and contesting shots, will surely turn into a high flying lob threat with the guards Southmoore has.

Is fitting into his new school by providing energy and athleticism. Helps out on the offensive glass with high motor rebounding. Plays bigger than his sizes and provides burst of scoring to help swing games. Needs to continue to improve his vision on drives, as he seems focused on scoring only. But a great unselfish mindset in his energy and motor allows him to provide an extra dimension. The rest of his game should continue to evolve throughout the year and his career.

Opened the game with an easy top of the key three, then continued to establish his bonafides as a quality catch and shoot threat. Strong frame two guard, has a solid first step and good speed when it comes to getting downhill. Is decisive and strong on drives. Often in the right place on defense to rotate over and take charges on defense. Good small school scorer who had a game high 19 points in the win and is having a very strong start to his senior season.
