Veteran’s Day Classic Day 1 Standouts

He closed out the first half with a 3 at the buzzer. Then in the second half he really got going. Dannels knocked down another two 3-pointers and a couple of jumpers. He showed a lot of confidence on his drives to the basket and finished some difficult lay-ups. He grabbed a ton of rebounds and had a few big blocks as well. He was able to score from just about everywhere, and hit a couple of very deep shots. McMorran II also made a few plays on defense. Utah Prep was on the verge of overtaking the lead from the Toros, but Townsend connected on three 3's and seemingly put the game away. He does a great job of reading his defender and changing direction when he attacks the basket.
