Back in May after the Rare Footage spring grassroots event, we noted thatthe “upside on Byrd was ridiculous”. Over the weekend Byrd made that statement look good by dropping 26 points on the strength of 8 made threes. In addition to popping triples, Byrd scored in transition. He also severed as a secondary ball handler who dropped well-timed assists on teammates. Byrd's ability to attack opposing defenses off the dribble is an underrated asset. He provided menacing on-ball defense too.

Graham was a top performer for the Fords during their scrimmage sessions on Saturday against Archbishop Ryan and Coatesville. The super sophomore's well-rounded skill was on full display. His accurate long-distance shooting and ability to score or distribute on the fast break were extremely impressive. Graham scored at all three levels, including several tough attacks on the rim. He worked as a point guard, shooting guard and hybrid-forward. His basketball IQ and court vision produced a host of creative assists. Plus, Graham rebounded at both ends.

The Inter-Ac will be a brutally competitive league in 2024-25 and if SCH is going to keep pace, they are going to need monster games from Kelly like the one he posted this weekend. On Friday night, Kelly stuffed the stat book with 29 points and 13 rebounds. He drained four triples, scored on mid-range jumpers, and feasted in pick-n-roll action. Obviously, Kelly worked the offensive glass for put backs too. After Kelly's breakout summer 2024 and now this performance, we are expecting a 1st Team All-Inter-Ac season from this lefty.

Nnani's senior season is off to a fast start as this athletic wing forward has scored in bunches. His latest headline grabbing performance was a 34-point effort in Phelps' win over Northfield Mount Hermon (MA). In that victory Nnani splashed two threes as well as mid-range shots and a couple of runners. However, Nnani did the bulk of his scoring damage in the open court. He finished fast breaks through contact and with a creative touch. He even threw down a couple impressive dunks. Nnani recently committed to Arkansas State and the Red Wolves are getting a program defining recruit.
