Micah's a really good ball handler who has the ability of blowing by defenders and attacking the basket. He did this on numerous occasions against opposing Beech Grove Guards. Especially in isolated situations on the wing. He easily drove by the opposition and scored a layup at the rim. In other situations like this he would get by the defense, drive the lane and dish off assists to open teammates. Micah can also knock down shots on the perimeter and behind the three point line. I watched him easily create space off the dribble and drain mid-range jumpers, despite being tightly guarded. The few times he got open looks behind the arc, he was able to convert on the shot. Defensively, he's really good at applying on ball pressure and playing the passing lanes. Micah forced multiple turnovers and made ball handling very difficult for the Beech Grove guards. He has quick hands and good footwork that allowed him to stay attached to his opponents at all times. Micah's a really good all around player who can be a valuable piece to any squad he plays with. Keep working young man!!

Kiree has a great ability of distributing the basketball to his teammates with great success. He's an excellent leader who showed a major prowess to attack the basket. Great ball handler who has no issue getting by defenders and making plays. Kiree's a strong guard with a low to the ground makeup who reminds me of former UCONN star Khalid El-Amin. He's a top notch point guard who always look to get others involved while having the ability of scoring the ball if he needs too. He can make the occasional shot from mid-range but its not a strength. Attacking the paint and facilitating are where he excels. Kiree is surprisingly quick for his stout size. He has the ability to play excellent ball-hawking defense with his quick hands and feet. I believe he has the ability of being a defensive stopper because of his tenacity. He has really good knowledge of what it takes to play defense. Kiree has an excellent basketball makeup. The prototypical floor general who ran precise plays and showed leadership qualities that allowed his team to be successful.

I learned over the weekend, this little guy can really play some ball!! Jax is an excellent team player who does what's necessary to help the team win games. He can score the ball with the best of them. I love watching the smaller players who fearlessly play the game of basketball. Jax wasn't afraid of taking the ball in the paint and finishing against taller defenders. Sometimes the shot went in, sometimes it didn't. Its the heart and fight that matters and this kid showed he has both. He can also score the ball from anywhere on the perimeter with his smooth jump shot. I saw him knock down multiple threes when the opportunity presented itself. A really good passer who often found open teammates with nice dimes that always seemed to find the players they needed to. On defense Jax was a ball-hawk! He forced a number of on-ball steals along with turnovers from shooting passing lanes. I believe Jax has all the necessary skills to be successful now and in the near future. Keep striving to get better young man!!

This little guy plays with such heart and I loved watching every minute of it! Jack's a fiesty shooting guard who plays with no fear of anyone on the basketball court. Excellent shooter who can knock down perimeter shots and three pointers. I watched him make multiple shots from behind the arc with complete confidence and no hesitation. A really good passer who had no issues creating open shots for his teammates. A number of his assists lead to easy layups and conversions from mid-range. Has knowledge of using screens and staying in constant movement on the offensive side of the floor. On a number of occasions Jack was able to use teammate screens to free himself up for open looks at the basket. This lead to a lot of made shots for the little guy. On defense, he applied constant pressure to by staying attached to opposing guards. He was really good at using quick hands to poke away the basketball. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered Jack is only a 4th grader. This really shocked me!! He's playing with older kids and thriving. Playing a few age groups up will definitely help him in the long run.

Aggressive player who knows how to score in many ways. Lincoln has the skills of scoring the basketball from anywhere on the floor. A really good ball handler who gets by defenders and scores at the basket. (sometimes through contact) There were a number of times he converted on three point play opportunities by making free throws. He's the kind of player who does all the intangibles on the basketball court. This young guy can really rebound at the guard spot. He didn't mind going into the paint and fighting for boards regardless of taller opposing players. Lincoln can shoot the ball really well from mid-range. He showed off his skills by knocking down multiple shots on the perimeter. Is very knowledgeable of how to free himself and make the necessary plays needed within the offense. Lincoln is a really good defensive player who anticipated a lot of passes from the opposing team. This lead to multiple steals and fast-break opportunities for himself or teammates. Lincoln also played excellent on ball defense that made handling the ball difficult for the opposition. As I said, he has all the intangibles needed to be a success on the basketball court.

Guards often play a major role in the success of a basketball team. These young men showed why these are roles are factual on their parts.
