DeSmet won the Class 5 state championship, Chaminade was the Class 6 state runners-up, and Vianney finished third in the Class 5 state tournament.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Some of the teams will have to change course a little as they must replace key players who transferred. Vianney lost 7'3 center Symon Ghai to prep school and All-State forward [player_tooltip player_id='1790001' first='Eddie' last='Smajic'] to Columbia (IL). [player_tooltip player_id='1422817' first='Terron' last='Garrett'], who was CBC's top scorer, is now at Vashon. As a junior, he averaged 22.9 points, three rebounds and two steals a game. He made 89 3-pointers and shot 40 percent from long distance in leading the Golden Griffins to a Final Four appearance. Whatever it takes to get the job done, he does it.
