The New Jersey high school basketball is right around the corner as tryouts are a week and a half away. The Shore Conference returns talent as [player_tooltip player_id='1580578' first='Jayden' last='Hodge'], [player_tooltip player_id='1389143' first='Griffin' last='Linstra'], [player_tooltip player_id='1412107' first='Jaycen' last='Santucci'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1411642' first='Evan' last='Romano'] are all returning All-Shore Conference 1st team members. The 2025 class has prospects who are looking to crack the list for the first time. Here are the 2025 prospects who could make the All-Shore Conference First Team for the first time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411626' first='Zayier' last='Dean'], 6'0 PG Red Bank Regional

Dean has made the second and third All-Shore teams in each of the last two seasons and is looking to crack the first team list this season. The 6'0 guard is a blur in the open floor as opponents struggle to keep him in front and out of the lane. Dean can finish in a number of ways around the basket and has a nice touch in the mid-range. He can find his open teammates in the halfcourt and plays with good anticipation on the defensive end to get deflections. Dean is a speedy lead guard prospect who is looking to lead Red Bank Regional back to the sectional final.

[player_tooltip player_id='1412111' first='Brian' last='Tassey'], 6'5 SG Freehold Boro

Tassey did a little bit of everything for the Colonials as he led them to the Group 3 final. The 6'5 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Tassey uses his size to see over his defender and rarely forces the issue in the halfcourt. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Tassey was a second team All-Shore selection last season and is looking to make that a first team selection in 2024-25.

[player_tooltip player_id='1411648' first='Justin' last='Fuerbacher'], 6'4 PF CBA

Fuerbacher has been an integral part of the Colts' offense over the last two seasons and should continue to do so in 2024-25. The Middlebury commit knows how to get position down low and has a good touch around the basket. Fuerbacher has a good faceup game as he can put the ball on the floor and knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Fuerbacher is a gritty forward prospect who is looking to elevate to first team All-Shore after making second team All-Shore last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1775122' first='Bryan' last='Ebeling'], 6'3 CG St. Rose

Ebeling is part of a talented Purple Roses squad that is looking to repeat as Shore Conference and Non-Public B champions. The 6'3 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. Ebeling is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim off the bounce and finish. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Ebeling made third team All-Shore last season and has the potential to make the first team as he should get more looks in St. Rose's offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1919194' first='Ryan' last='Prior'], 6'4 SF Red Bank Catholic

Prior ended the 2023-24 season on a hot streak as he had three straight games of at least 20 points and 16 made triples. The Virginia baseball commit wastes little motion in his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Prior moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the halfcourt. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and works hard on the defensive end. Prior is one of the top shooters in the Shore Conference and should put it on display this season.

Other Prospects to Watch:

[player_tooltip player_id='2341240' first='Aiden' last='Sosinov'], 6'5 PF Manalapan

[player_tooltip player_id='2368285' first='Aidan' last='Hamlin-Woolfolk'], 6'5 PF Freehold Boro

[player_tooltip player_id='2437002' first='Ryan' last='Jacobs'], 6'1 CG Donovan Catholic

[player_tooltip player_id='1773149' first='Kevin' last='Pikiell'], 6'3 SG CBA

[player_tooltip player_id='2233689' first='David' last='Carr Jr'], 6'3 SG Rumson Fair-Haven
