Santucci is having a fantastic season averaging 20 ppg along with grabbing close to 10 rebounds per game. He works the midrange and painted area well looking to hit tough fading-away jump shots with opportunities to attack the rim no matter who’s under the rim. At 6’3″ he crashes the glass like a center and does a great job of starting fastbreaks for his team with long accurate outlet passes or using his speed and quickness to go coast to coast to the rim. Santucci has quick hands on the defensive end seemingly coming up with multiple steals in many games.

Santucci is a score-first player but an underrated part of his game that is growing is his ability to get others involved. He draws so much attention from a defense that he will be part of difficult traps that force him to have to pass out. Santucci makes very quick passes that zip through the air allowing him to fit the ball in some tight windows. He can work the midrange and get into the heart of defenses forcing defenses to collapse on him leaving open shooters on the perimeter.

Santucci can guard multiple positions and has a great sense of knowing when to attempt a steal if he is on an island during an isolation play. He moves laterally well keeping up with quicker players and stands tall in front of them making sure they don’t get an inch of space to shoot. Santucci will apply immense pressure on inbounds plays forcing many turnovers leading to more offensive possessions for his team.

Santucci has one speed and seems to never turn it off when on the fastbreak. Once he grabs and comes down with the rebound he is off to the races. Santucci has a bag of moves he can go to but likes to hit defenders with a quick euro-step around for the easy layup. He is also great at throwing sharp bullet passes to his teammates leaking out. His ability to keep the ball under control and make the correct read is what makes him an all-around player from his already gifted talents.

Santucci is what being a shot creator or shot maker is all about. There doesn’t seem to be a shot that he can’t make or won’t take. Santucci loves to go to the pull-up midrange shot often as this looks to be his most consistent shot. He is very jumpy which allows him to get good air on his jump shot. Santucci excels in the fastbreak setting always getting good shots for not only himself but his teammates too.
