On Tuesday, Prep Hoops SC was at the Upward Stars Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina for Week Five of the Upward Stars Fall League. Although they are not officially officiated with their High Schools, Fall Leagues are a great chance for prospects to get out on the court with their teams and continue to prepare for the upcoming season. Check out my evaluations of five prospects who stood out from Week Five Day One of the 2024 Upward Stars Fall League:

[player_tooltip player_id='2367673' first='Sebi' last='Boyogueno'] (Hammet Bridge Hoops/Riverside HS) - [player_tooltip player_id='2367673' first='Sebi' last='Boyogueno'] showed some tremendous flashes last night, putting up 17 Points and 4 Steals. He was the focal point of Hammet Bridge Hoops on both ends of the floor, guarding the opponent's best player and primary ball handler while also having the offense run through him in key moments. Boyogueno dominated the opening stages of the game with interior scoring and athletic finishing, then helped his team go on a late run by forcing turnovers and getting to the line to help them make it a tight game late.

[player_tooltip player_id='1645095' first='Will' last='Bush'] (Roebuck 1/Dorman HS) - Bush is the other 2026 who stood out in Spartanburg on Tuesday. Will had some intriguing moments as a post option for Roebuck 1 and finished with 11 Points. He is a big-bodied prospect who is strong through contact in the paint and can finish over either shoulder. Bush works hard for position down low but also showed some comfort from the free-throw line and out. He was effective battling alone in the paint but also had some good moments playing alongside a second big man.

[player_tooltip player_id='1982890' first='Colt' last='Fowler'] (Middle Tyger/Byrnes HS) - Colt had an impressive showing for his squad in what was one of the most exciting matchups of the week: Middle Tyger (Byrnes) vs Green Mountain (Christ School - NC). Fowler was crucial to his team's strong play in the first half, knocking down threes and dishing out assists as the Rebels built an early lead. Colt's quickness and vision stood out, as usual. He is a nightmare for defenders to keep in front and he reads defenses extremely well to find the open man. Fowler went for 12 Points and 5 Assists in the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1737994' first='Jaden' last='Johnson'] (Roebuck 1/Dorman HS) - Johnson is another 2027 Point Guard who was equally impressive on the offensive end. Jaden's ball handle and change of pace were key attributes. He was comfortable under pressure, in tight spaces, and was frequently in attack mode with the ball in his hands. Johnson was also efficient as a spot-up shooter, creating more opportunities for his teammates when off the ball. Jaden finished with 10 Points but also helped out with 6 Rebounds in the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459224' first='Reeves' last='Garner'] (Hammet Bridge Hoops/Riverside HS) - [player_tooltip player_id='2459224' first='Reeves' last='Garner'] had one of the best pure shooting performances of the day, going 3-6 from behind the arc and finishing with 13 Points. Garner opened the game hot knocking down his first two attempts and then when the defense began to close out harder, he showed an ability to make plays off the dribble with some touch around the rim and unselfishness to find teammates. Reeves has a compact stroke from behind the arc and likes to go to a floater off the dribble in the lane.
