The highly anticipated new edition of the class of 2026 rankings have finally been released, with over 140 players in the rankings, including over 40 new players to the list! Here's a look at some of the top risers from last rankings to this one.

[player_tooltip player_id='2566558' first='Zyon' last='McGlone'] | 6'1” PG | Peninsula Catholic

Current Rank: #30

Previous Rank: #72

McGlone is the biggest riser in this class, after a huge summer with Team Push as well as a big fall at CBG events as well. He's grown a few inches to where he's standing over 6'0”, and while growing into his body he has become a freak athlete as well. He's absolutely dynamic in transition with blazing speed and is an explosive finisher when he gets downhill, he is able to score the ball in bunches from all three levels and he is a pest on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2301294' first='Akim' last='Iscandari'] | 6'0” PG | Potomac School

Current Rank: #33

Previous Rank: #38

While it seems like this isn't a big jump with it just being 5 spots, there were 10 new players, mostly transfers, that were added ahead of Iscandari, so if that didn't happen it would have been more like 15 spots. Iscandari had a phenomenal summer with AKT and Potomac School, showing he's one of the most athletic guards in the DMV. He is an absolute blur with a quick first step and great speed that allows him to get to the rim at will, he is a lock down defender who can jump passing lanes and has good hands and he makes everyone on his team better too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252294' first='Jemon' last='Price'] | 6'2” CG | Westfield

Current Rank: #34

Previous Rank: #44

Price is part of a super talented 2026 group at Westfield that has six players ranked in this class, and he's impressed quite a bit in the preseason to take the biggest leap of the group in the rankings. The 6'2” combo is a natural playmaker off the bounce with his shifty handle and change of speeds, he can create space with the ball in his hands or work off the ball to get open to make shots, and he has a moxxy about him that allows him to make plays when it matters it the most.

[player_tooltip player_id='1782688' first='Khaliq' last='Carson'] | 6'0” PG | Bishop Ireton

Current Rank: #36

Previous Rank: #63

Carson takes a big jump after rewatching him this summer in DMV Live, where he was effective enough to earn his first division one offer and show he's one of the best two way guards in the DMV. The biggest thing for Carson is that he grew about 5 inches, as he already was a very good player and now he's no longer the smallest guy on the court. He's a tone setter on both ends with his ability to pick up and guard the length of the floor, he makes great decisions and makes his teammates better and he picks his spots and scores it efficiently.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459361' first='Caleb' last='Straughter'] | 6'6” SF | Varina

Current Rank: #41

Previous Rank: #59

Straughter came onto the scene last year with Varina and followed it up with a solid summer with Team Richmond, and he looks like he'll be a breakout player in the Richmond area after the fall he's had. He seems to be getting taller every time we see him, and his physical and athletic tools are very intriguing moving forward. He runs the floor well and can play above the rim, he can stick it from deep off the catch and he is developing his ball skills on the perimeter nicely.

[player_tooltip player_id='2242402' first='RJ' last='Jones'] | 6'3” CG | Virginia Academy

Current Rank: #61

Previous Rank: #70

Jones makes a move that would've put him even higher if it wasn't for so many new players being added to the rankings, and I'll admit it may still be a little low for him as he's been super productive the last few times that I saw him. The 6'3” combo is a natural scorer who just knows how to play and brings it every time he's on the floor. He can knock it down from deep both off the catch and off the bounce, he's crafty with his dribbles as he changes speeds well and he makes plays on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459400' first='Amir' last='Savage'] | 6'4” SF | St. Michael

Current Rank: #66

Previous Rank: #76

Savage is part of a St. Michael group I fully believe will make a deep run in the VISAA D3 classification this year, and he's a big reason why with his versatility on the perimeter. At 6'4” he has great size and ball skills with the ability to touch the paint at will, he is an explosive finisher in transition and when he gets downhill, he can make shots from multiple levels and he makes a lot of plays defensively too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459370' first='Kevin' last='Mayo'] | 6'3” CG | Henrico

Current Rank: #72

Previous Rank: #79

Mayo is coming off a breakout summer with his [program_tooltip program_id='2248971' first='River' last='City Reign'] team that was one of the best 16U teams in the state, and he's part of a Henrico backcourt that will be very tough to matchup with the next few years. The 6'3” guard is a talented shot maker who moves well off the ball and can make shots on the move, he can put it on the deck and create space in the midrange, he's an unselfish playmaker and he is just scratching the surface with how good he can be.
