Van Johnson | Prep Hoops Scout
Rondel is someone who should only continue to trend upward. He’s already an electric scorer with an quick-twitch athleticism to cause a ton of problems for opponents. He heats up quickly and can fill it up in a variety of ways as a scorer. Rondel can create his own shot with relative ease. He consistently generates clean looks off the bounce but is more than comfortable playing without the ball and finding chances as a cutter or spot-up threat and throwdown finisher at the rim. Rondel is a smooth three-point shooter and midrange scorer but also has the length to finish at the rim. Scored 18 points on 6-16 from the field, 6-7 from the FT line, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.

The unsigned senior is a quick, ball handling guard who can get downhill and finish in the paint. While Jones struggled to make shots this week, he has proven to be a capable open shot maker in the past. Small college programs in search of a point guard should check out the VAA product.

-First time seeing Jones and he stood out as a versatile CG prospect that contributes to winning in a variety of ways. Jones knocked down C+S looks, attacked the basket, did a great job of getting into gaps well and creating for teammates, and hit the glass hard at both ends of the floor. He’s not a crazy athlete but times his jump well and is usually in the correct spot to come down with rebounds in traffic. Will be interesting to track his development to see if he focuses on specializing in one area or continues to impact with his all-around skillset, but both figure to help Virginia Academy win some games this season

. He is a skilled scorer and averaged 13.2, which led the team. RJ can play either guard position and was one of the better Junior guards in the area.
