Prep Hoops Louisiana released the newest top ten rankings for the class of 2026 on Wednesday. This is the first release since the beginning of the summer so this one takes into account summer and showcase play. While some key figures remained the same, there were a couple of additions to the top ten. In this rankings exclusive, we will take a look at the players that comprise the top ten of the 2026 class.

Manning is the top guy and did plenty to solidify his position this summer. During summer league play, he displayed some additions to his offensive game while still being a distributor. His ability to turn defense into offense using his quick hands and movement shows athleticism mixed with basketball IQ. He is the top dog for a reason and he continues to display it on the hardwood.

When it comes to rebounding, hitting the guard on the outlet/pass, and finishing in transition, there is no one better in any class. It is the improvements he has made to his game that have him a step away from #1. His improved consistency from three and his handle when he attacks the rim are what place him in this position. May be the best forward regardless of class.

Benjamin is part of the best back court duo in the state with [player_tooltip player_id='1560448' first='Jalen' last='Brown'] (Avoyelles Public Charter). There isn't anything Armonii cannot do with the rock in his hands. He knows how to draw and kick, shoot the mid-range, and finish at the rim. He is also good at spot-ups and can finish in transition well. Basketball-wise, his upside is through the roof.

Tezeno is a high level two sports star in his class. Basicially, he is the 2026 version of Keon Coleman. He is very good on the hardwood. He is a true three level scorer and above average defender. Roderick is one of the best transition finishers in the state as well. He is truly a difference maker on both ends of the floor. I do not know how much longer the hardwood will have him because of his prowess on the gridiron. As long as he plays, he is definitely a top five prep.

Lane will probably see the most improvement to his game this coming season since solely focusing on basketball. At his present height, he fits the body type of what a prototypical wing looks like on the next level. Lavell can also stretch the floor and attack the rim. His play this summer only gave us a glimpse of what to expect this season. He has a very high upside.

Livingston continued to evolve as a player this past summer. He parlayed his good showing in the state championship game with a very good EYBL summer. His breakout 30 point performance was definitely the highlight of the summer. Randy is very good with the ball. He knows how to find players in scoring positions and he can score. This coming season will be a good one for him.

George is one of the more gifted players in the top ten. His ability to score from various levels on the floor looks effortless at times. While he is 6'3", his frame and limbs make him look like he is taller. Whatever the rhyme or reason, Le'Damian can play both ends of the floor but he is extremely hard to stop from scoring.

Gipson has grown a bit and his game has grown with it. While he was good as a natural point guard, the height and weight he has picked up suits his game so much better. Gipson can handle the ball and get to the paint with ease. He can finish through contact with little resistance now. Levon can also post up. Those two things make him a better player. He is definitely a player on the rise.

The Airline combo guard definitely showed why he is a top ten player this summer. During summer league and showcase play, his ability to get to the paint and the rim is almost unmatched. He is finishing above the rim while burying mid-range jumpers with ease. His passing ability is above par as well. Kevin is an all state caliber player and may just have a breakout season.

Javonte is one of the best transition players to walk the Louisiana hardwood. He is a highlight reel when he is in the open floor. His all around game steadily improves, however. His jumper from the mid-range and three is fluid and he rebounds superbly for a guard/wing. Ford is a player who can go off for big scoring numbers. That trend should continue this season.
