He plays with a lot of speed and I think that he's adjusted to the physicality of high school basketball. This summer, he displayed his ability to attack the basket and draws fouls as well. The other jumps in his game that I have noticed are his 3-point shooting and defense. If he can continue to play solid defense at the Varsity level, he may be one of the guys that moves up the ranks.

Johnson looked great in the Varsity Fall League. He was typically the fastest player on the court, and used his speed to wreak havoc on defense. Johnson also uses his defense to create offense and often steals the ball around mid-court, which leads to easy lay-ups or dunks for himself. Johnson is sure to have a few tough match-ups in the Border League games, and I am interested to see how he does.

[player_tooltip player_id='2635516' first='Jaden' last='Williams'] was dominant at times in the Varsity Fall League. A good amount of his scoring came off the dribble and he got to the line often. Jaden also proved to be a legitimate 3-point shooter and hit multiple 3's in a few games. On defense, he uses his anticipation skills and vertical to come up with blocks. Expect him to be top 10 in the rankings when they come out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2053686' first='Cassius' last='Britt'] caught my eye with his shooting at the Varsity Fall League. His competitive nature should also help his Arbor View squad this year.

Price is a dynamic guard with elite ball handling skills. A majority of his points come off of drives with the ball. But he also plays with his eyes up and can also facilitate shots for his teammates. If there is a loose ball, he's willing to fight for it.

Wil Townsend is another Arbor View guard that I noticed at the Varsity Fall League. Townsend hit a few catch and shoot 3's in their game against Centennial, which really brought some momentum to the Aggie squad. He also is the type of player who makes the right plays, and doesn't try to force anything. When it comes to his defense, he stays active with his hands to create turnovers.

Imperial performed pretty well throughout the Varsity Fall League. He was running the point guard position with maturity and did a good amount of facilitating for his teammates. I also liked the way he competed every possession. I think he still has a little bit of work to do defensively, due to his height. But he looks ready to play big minutes for Spring Valley this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1965124' first='Jayvion' last='Wall'] can score from all three levels. If his defender is playing him out too far, he can burn them for lay-ups. If the defender is slouching too far off of him, he can knock down a 3. When they think he's going to catch and shoot, he can beat his guy with his first step to get to his spot. Overall there is a lot of things to like about his game.

Penn Staker-Brooks is most well known for his 3-point shooting and athleticism. When he gets to the rim, he has a variety of ways that he can finish. He also plays defense with good instincts, occasionally he can get a block or steal. In order for him to become more a household name, he'll need to be slightly more consistent with his play.

In this sophomore series, I will feature point guards that I predict to do well this season.
