It is officially rankings update time here at the Pope Hoops Indiana headquarters. On Monday we released our updated and expanded Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings featuring our Top 50 prospects along with a loaded Watch List of over 300 more players. In total, we added 118 new names to this rankings update from what we previously had released. We are really proud of the work that went into making that happen. Now, we will spend the week diving deeper into the rankings with positional breakdowns, stock-risers, new names, and a look at some of the names to know on the Watch List. Let's now highlight six more new names making their debut in our Class of 2027 Rankings. For part one of this breakdown CLICK HERE.

We definitely still need to make a point of seeing Burkemper more, but his size and agility as a sophomore was enough to get him onto our Watch List. The 6'5" interior presence has good footwork on the block and when rolling to the basket. He is also bouncy enough to rebound at a high level and be impactful at the rim as a defender. It will be interesting to continue watching his development down at Washington High School.

Hayes really stood out when we went to watch Franklin Central workout this fall. He is a shifty 5'7" guard that can create his own shot and displayed a real knack for scoring the basketball. Don't let his size fool you, Hayes is fearless off of the bounce and is a creative finisher against size at the end of his drives. He should factor into the varsity rotation in the Flashes backcourt this season as a sophomore.

An athletic wing with impressive length, Jefferson is really tough in transition and can slash his way to the rim in the half court. Over the summer he did a great job of rebounding his position from the perimeter and playing up around the rim as a finisher. There is a lot of talent to sift through at Ben Davis High School, but Jefferson will be a name to remember over the next couple of years.

When I went to watch Lawrence North workout in September I went up to Coach Giffin and asked about Kenny. At the time, I didn't know who he was but his non-stop motor and relentless rebounding ability stood out enough that I needed to know who he was. Then, I got the chance to see him again at our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'3" forward is still on the Watch List for now, but there is a lot to like about his game.

Nover is an up-and-coming wing within the system at Carmel High School. He has good positional size and length at 6'3", is fluid offensively from multiple levels, and can stretch the floor with his catch-and-shoot ability. He has played well across several viewings over the last month or so between seeing him workout at Carmel, catching him in the Metro Indy Fall League, and at our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Definitely a name to remember over the next few years.

Schlabach was a consistent top performer throughout the summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2383637' first='Summit' last='City Elite']. His scoring ability was on display in every event that we saw him at. He can shoot it from beyond the arc, create his own shot in the mid-range, or get downhill to finish at the rim. The 6'1" guard is able to play either on or off of the ball and should factor into the backcourt equation at Westview High School this season.
