Steady, high energy wing/forward that does all the dirty work that doesn’t always show up in the stat sheet. Good rebounder on both ends of the floor and a defender that guards multiple positions with his size and physicality. Offensively, he’s a versatile piece that can play all over the floor with his shot making ability and as a playmaker with the ball or out of ball screens.

We definitely still need to make a point of seeing Burkemper more, but his size and agility as a sophomore was enough to get him onto our Watch List. The 6’5″ interior presence has good footwork on the block and when rolling to the basket. He is also bouncy enough to rebound at a high level and be impactful at the rim as a defender. It will be interesting to continue watching his development down at Washington High School.

Burkemper is a 6’5″ prospect that is a versatile big man. He has a long frame that he uses very well in the paint to score over smaller defenders. His soft touch around the rim is impressive and he is not afraid to take his defender off the dribble and explode to the rim. There are several intriguing tools that this Washington High School big man has as an underclassman.
