Knoll is a guy who simply "wants it more" and he doesn't take a single possession off. Although he was going up against much taller guys for rebounds, he grabbed a ton of them. His shot was falling as well from beyond the arc and he made some tough lay-ups. You can also tell that he takes a ton of pride in his defense. In a time where most players seem to want to just score, Knoll knows how to impact the game at a further level.

Yapi had another incredible performance against Redemption Christian Academy. His court vision helped him facilitate a majority of Sierra Vista's offense. Yapi also connected on a couple of 3-pointers and jumpers. One of his best shots was a long range two, where he beat his guy off the dribble and then shot right over Redemption Christian's best shot blocker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1529852' first='Josiah' last='Stroughter'] had a solid offensive performance against Campbell Hall. He showed of some of his ball-handling skills, and shook his defenders on more than a few occasions to get to the rim. Stroughter also had one of his better shooting performances that I've seen from him, and he connected on some distant shots. The next jump in his game will need to be his defense. He has the quickness to succeed and I need to see more from him there.

Stewart had a heck of a weekend. He looked confident out there and like he was to starting to come into his own. On defense, he didn't back down and he disrupted a lot of shots. On offense, he was going after rebounds and made some fantastic plays around the rim. I think he's ready for a great Varsity season if he can keep playing the way he has been.

[player_tooltip player_id='1281369' first='Xavion' last='Staton']'s rebounding and presence in the paint helped keep his Blue Hoops squad in it against Redemption Christian Academy. I liked how he competed against their bigs, and of course he had some bocks as well. Xavion also grabbed the rebound and tipped in what would have been the game winning shot, but one of the RCA guards came down in the closing seconds and banked in a 3 for the win.
