Border League: Nevada Stand Outs From Day 3

Although he was going up against much taller guys for rebounds, he grabbed a ton of them. His shot was falling as well from beyond the arc and he made some tough lay-ups. You can also tell that he takes a ton of pride in his defense. His court vision helped him facilitate a majority of Sierra Vista's offense. Yapi also connected on a couple of 3-pointers and jumpers. He showed of some of his ball-handling skills, and shook his defenders on more than a few occasions to get to the rim. Stroughter also had one of his better shooting performances that I've seen from him, and he connected on some distant shots. The next jump in his game will need to be his defense. He looked confident out there and like he was to starting to come into his own. On defense, he didn't back down and he disrupted a lot of shots. On offense, he was going after rebounds and made some fantastic plays around the rim. I liked how he competed against their bigs, and of course he had some bocks as well. Xavion also grabbed the rebound and tipped in what would have been the game winning shot, but one of the RCA guards came down in the closing seconds and banked in a 3 for the win. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
