-Electric scoring PG returns to the area after a year away in PA and he should make an immediate impact back at Boys' Latin. Davis is a shifty guard that routinely uses a tight handle to get past his individual matchup to create advantage situations for his team. The midrange pull-up is consistent but the touch in the paint allows him to land on 2 feet to hit a floater or get all the way to the rim. Defensively he has improved the timing of his stunts on the ball or in help to come away with a clean steal, but he has to bring an every-possession approach to forcing tough shots and not get called for a foul with his hand in the cookie jar. His ability to create his own shot while generating clean looks for teammates will be pivotal to his team's success.

-Steps into a bigger role for a young Gwynn Park team with a lot of new faces after a 9-man 2024 class graduated in the spring. Cunningham has one of the purest jump shots in the area with a consistent fluid release from 18 feet. His floor-spacing, positional size, and long-term upside make him a valuable piece for a Hornet's team full of slashers.

-Graves can do a little bit of everything depending on the group that the Lions have out on the floor. He can knock down open perimeter looks, uses his strength and quickness to guard multiple positions, can fill the wing or run a fastbreak on the ball, and attacks closeouts well from the wings. His willingness to do the little things as a screener, rebounder, and physical guard that won't be out-worked should make him a valuable piece to the puzzle for Carroll.

-One of the smoothest shooters in the area. Nelson is an ultra-skilled PG prospect that should step in nicely as a lead guard that can also be used off the ball as a movement shooter that has to be face-guarded. Want to see him use his handle to probe the defense and get paint touches because he has the skill to get wherever he wants on the floor. But I have seen the progression over the summer of watching him keep his head up more often to find cutters rolling to the rim or shooters moving to space for open jumpers.

-Smooth lefty scoring guard that understands angles and uses his pivot well to create high-percentage looks at the basket in the paint. Barnes uses a fluid crossover to test the waters to get his opponent to over-pursue before attacking off the bounce. Think he has defensive upside off the ball as a quick guard that can use his length to generate turnovers and get the Gaels going in transition. His progression as a scorer and facilitator will be key for a talented but young MSJ team that will need to replace the production of its graduated 2 best scorers.

-McQuarter can really boogie with the ball in his hands as a scorer in the halfcourt that doesn't need a ball screen to create a high-percentage look at the rim. McQuarter does most of his damage from the top of the key as a creative mano y mano scorer that has the dribbling package to force his defender on his heels or get them to bite on a stepback hesi before blowing past them to the rim. His ability to break his matchup down off a second side ball reversal will relieve some of the pressure from Ward+ Johnson to create at the end of shot clocks, making the Lions more difficult to gameplan for.

-Iyer will have to compete defensively to earn minutes in a reloaded Carroll backcourt that may play 3 or 4-guard lineups depending on matchups. But he makes enough plays off the bounce and as a shooter to make an impact when given the opportunity. His confidence is growing as a ballhandler that can split double teams and get downhill, reject a screen to take advantage of the defender going under and hit a shot, or make a timely pocket pass to a teammate on the short roll.
