Previous Rank: Re-classified
-The scoring guard re-classified to 2028 and should pop onto the radar of college coaches with a productive offseason. McQuarter can really score in bunches, getting to the rim at will and showing a knack for getting to his spots in the halfcourt without needing a ball screen to create space. He’s fast in the open floor, can knock down shots off the catch on the wings, and understands how to take advantage once he gets a step on his defender.

Bryce has put together an impressive first half of the year and has been one of the most advanced underclass guards I’ve seen up close. He controls the floor naturally, keeps everyone in their role, and does a great job managing the pace without needing to dominate the ball. Bryce is a strategic scorer and playmaker, making the right reads consistently and understanding when it’s time to create versus when it’s time to settle the group down. What separates him is the two-way effort and how he plays hard defensively and knows how to guard on and off the ball. Offensively he gets wherever he wants, able to overpower defenders when needed or blow by them when the lane opens up. Also been lights-out from deep, and deadly with space. McQuarter’s stock will be climbing because he already plays like a leader, and his control of tempo and decision-making has been rare for his age.

-First time seeing McQuarter with the Flyers and he does what he does best: get buckets. The smooth CG prospect gets to his spots within the halfcourt and can rise up effectively for pull-ups anywhere in the midrange. His run of three made 3s in a row midway through the 3Q brought the Flyers roaring back in this one to send the game to the first OT period. Love the pace that he plays with as a confident guard that can get hot in a hurry to flip games for his team. If he can improve the handle to use his scoring gravity while on a heater to make plays for others, and lock down opposing guards with consistency– I can see him becoming a focal point for the Eagles and a guard that college coaches need to know in the 2028 class.

-McQuarter can really boogie with the ball in his hands as a scorer in the halfcourt that doesn’t need a ball screen to create a high-percentage look at the rim. McQuarter does most of his damage from the top of the key as a creative mano y mano scorer that has the dribbling package to force his defender on his heels or get them to bite on a stepback hesi before blowing past them to the rim. His ability to break his matchup down off a second side ball reversal will relieve some of the pressure from Ward+ Johnson to create at the end of shot clocks, making the Lions more difficult to gameplan for.
