Another guard on this squad who used his length to assert himself defensively, Baynes created his share of deflections that led to runouts for himself or others. He heats up the ball in space and uses his wingspan to stunt at his man before going for the steal. Offensively he was valuable as a floor spacing threat particularly from the corner. When Baynes has time to size up his shot off the catch, the results fell in his favor. He’s not a guard who is going to dribble the air out of it or put himself into bad spots by forcing the issue. As he continues to expand his skillset and grow into his lengthy frame, Baynes can emerge as a nice two-way producer for PGCA.
