Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops. We've been able to flex our muscles here in the month of September hosting three outstanding events featuring well over 300 prospects from across the Hoosier state. First, it was our annual Freshman Showcase and newly formed Sophomore ID Camp that we hosted back on Sunday, September 8th. Both events were a massive success. Then, on Sunday, September 22nd we hosted “The Expo” which featured juniors and seniors looking to gain exposure in front of college coaches. As always, our scouting staff will be releasing team-by-team evaluations highlighting every single prospect in attendance. Here are our evaluations on the prospects that made up Team 6.

Montgomery stood out during 5-on-5 play with his comfortability playing off of a ballscreen. First, he displayed excellent court vision while playing with pace and maintaining the attention of two defenders off of the screen. Then, when a defender went under the ballscreen, he stopped behind it and nailed a three-point shot. That level of ball skill will translate to live action during the high school season at Scecina High School.

After being one of the most productive home school prospects in the state of Indiana, Karnes will take his shot at IHSAA basketball this season. However, he isn't just stepping in to any random program, he is entering the big stage at Lawrence North. If the summer and early fall workouts are any indication, the 6'2" junior guard is fitting in just fine. Karnes is a high-level shooter with enough athleticism to operate against the best-of-the-best. He is an intriguing Class of 2026 prospect that should really burst onto the scene this winter.

During my travels around to three or four high schools per week, I made it to Park Tudor High School on Thursday evening before The Expo on Sunday. Arkenau was a junior guard that stood out in their open gym and then he backed it up with a very impressive performance at our event. The 6'3" wing shoots it very well from three-point range with a good understanding of spacing and how to move on the perimeter. He also drove it right and effectively finished at the rim. Under-the-radar prospect that could blossom into a role this winter for a talented Park Tudor team.

One of the more accomplished scorers that fans and coaches around the state might not be familiar with, Arthur used the platform provided by "The Expo" to garner some more attention. The smooth, fluidity athletic 6'4" guard shot the ball well throughout our event displaying a quick release and excellent perimeter footwork. His positional size and length allows him to get shots off against tight closeouts while he also has enough skill to put the ball on the floor attacking the rim. Small college programs should known his name heading into his senior season.

A long, athletic, left-handed wing from Brebeuf Jesuit High School, Lesnet made his presence known throughout The Expo on Sunday. The 6'3" wing is athletic in the open floor and seems to be most comfortable in transition running ahead of the break and attacking off of a throw ahead. Lesnet drives it left against closeouts and can be effective crashing the offensive glass from the perimeter.

McNiece has been on our radar since his freshman season and continues to standout each time we get the opportunity to see him play. The 6'5" forward has gotten even bigger and physically stronger while maintaining an impressive skill set. He can knock down open three-point shots on the perimeter, put the ball on the floor to drive it left, or use his size to score on the block. The Homestead High School junior is a versatile offensive threat with a lot of upside.

The highest ranked prospect that we had at The Expo on Sunday, McGrew certainly showed why he is considered a Top 10 prospect in the Class of 2026. McGrew was able to physically dominate the competition with his 6'8″ frame and impressive bounciness around the rim. There also aren't many players with McGrew's size and build that can run the floor and move as fluidly as he does. He was at this best on Sunday running the floor and finishing transition or when cleaning the offensive glass. It is surprising that no Division I schools have pulled the trigger yet on offering the Lawrence North High School big man.
