Full Package Showcase: 11th and 12th Grade Top Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] hosted their annual showcase recently and PHI had a chance to check it out.&nbsp; The event included some of the top players in the state including top ranked [player_tooltip player_id='1385299' first='Ian' last='Miletic'] along with several other highly ranked players.&nbsp; This also gave us a chance to evaluate some new names that might be small college finds or even a pair of young posts that emerged while playing against older competition.&nbsp; We dive into it here in <strong>[program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase:&nbsp; 11^th and 12^th Grade Top Performers</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>PG/Combos</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552439' first='Logan' last='Luxem'] (Hersey – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Luxem is a 6'3” combo guard that is coming off a strong summer putting himself on the map.&nbsp; What we liked most about him in this evaluation was how he passed the ball. &nbsp;Displayed an overall excellent feel for the game distributing the rock as a combo guard.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1502193' first='Evan' last='Salvador'] (Mundelein – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Salvador is a left combo guard that can really shoot the rock.&nbsp; Plus shooter off the catch from three and can also get in the mid-range for pull ups.&nbsp; Don't discount him though as he can shot fake and get to the rim for bucket.&nbsp; Decent passer.&nbsp; Really good small college player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2442140' first='Logan' last='Shrout'] (Stevenson – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was my first look at Shrout.&nbsp; The senior 5'10” lead guard did a nice job at pushing the pace in the open floor passing it ahead with on the money dishes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1939226' first='Joseph' last='Costanzo'] (St. Patrick – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This St. Patrick 6'0” combo guard brings a thick body and skilled scoring to the table.&nbsp; Hit several threes along with using his craftiness around the hoop for buckets.&nbsp; Has a nose for the basketball!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1598708' first='Gavin' last='Escobedo'] (Roling Medows – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Rolling Meadows guard did a nice job of working around ball screens.&nbsp; Manipulated them to get what he wanted.&nbsp; Also liked how he kept his man on his back once he beat them and was in the lane for soft touch finishes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jasir Rogers (Ben Davis, IN – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rogers is a freshman from Indiana that more than held his own against the older competition.&nbsp; This 6'0” guard brings plus athleticism and such a smooth open floor game to the table.&nbsp; Racked up a ton of acrobatic layups throughout the two day event.&nbsp; At his best in transition.&nbsp; Slick handle coming off ball screens to the rack.&nbsp; He can really get to the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Wings</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1385299' first='Ian' last='Miletic'] (Rolling Meadows – 2025 – Marquette)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Miletic is the #1 senior in the state going into his final high school season.&nbsp; The Marquette commit played on the second day and showed why!&nbsp; Drained multiple pull up threes.&nbsp; Has the ability to create space then pull up right in his defenders grill.&nbsp; Sweet stroke with a ton of elevation on the shot.&nbsp; Showed improvement in other areas of his game.&nbsp; Has always been a plus passer which was shown as he has a great feel as secondary playmaker.&nbsp; Defensively he got steals and blocked shots.&nbsp; One of the most impressive plays of the day was when he fought over a high ball screen, followed down the lane, and swatted his man's shot trailing.&nbsp; Good rebounder too for a wing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2105166' first='Vincas' last='Buzelis'] (Hinsdale Central – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Buzelis is among the better uncommitted wings on the board.&nbsp; He is coming off a breakout summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] where he took his game to new heights.&nbsp; Big and athletic small forward that has a ton of pop off the bounce.&nbsp; Burst with the ball getting to the rim.&nbsp; Crisp handles and plus athleticism to go with his strong frame.&nbsp; He is like a freight train when attacking the cup.&nbsp; For as much of a force he is as a scorer it was his consistency as a passer that shined.&nbsp; Had multiple dishes with his off hand across the court to shooters.&nbsp; Improved his ability to see the floor and has the ability to make the play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2416503' first='Charlie' last='Pomis'] (Hersey – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pomis is on the short list of the most lethal shooters in the 2026 class.&nbsp; The Hersey 6'3” two guard is straight money from the perimeter raining in threes both pulling up and off the catch.&nbsp; Also showed more pop off the bounce with crisp handles in the event and was active on the defensive end blocking a shot and using his active hands on the defensive end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552461' first='Ethan' last='Matz'] (Carmel – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Matz and Pomis were the go to duo for FP's 16U squad this past summer.&nbsp; Matz also stands at 6'3” with knock down shot making ability.&nbsp; He showed a ton of other attributes in this showcase as well.&nbsp; Such a crafty finisher around the hoop that can get to the cup with tight handles.&nbsp; Got to the rim with consistency being able to finish with both hands.&nbsp; Attacks the rack off ball screens being able to go with his off hand to do it.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1545144' first='Samuel' last='Hirsch'] (Fremd – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Fremd 6'4” wing is a PHI favorite.&nbsp; He has good size and strength.&nbsp; Uses that on drives where he scored or got fouled.&nbsp; Plus jump shooter from three and is especially deadly in the mid-range hitting tough ones with the game on the line.&nbsp; Flashed some slick passing around the cup to finishers as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2632005' first='Levente' last='Tallos'] (Lake Forest Academy – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tallos caught our attention as the 6'3” shooting guard showed solid passing instincts getting his teammates involved with slick dump offs inside.&nbsp; What stood out most however was his shot making.&nbsp; Can pull it from super deep as well as off the catch.&nbsp; Compact release with elevation off the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1552464' first='Kenan' last='Pekovic'] (Rolling Meadows – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This 6'3” small forward could be an x-factor for Rolling Meadows this season.&nbsp; He brings versatility on the wing being able to play inside and out.&nbsp; Finished well around the cup on dump offs, had a nice right handed hook shot, got on the offensive glass, and can stretch the floor.&nbsp; The athleticism shows on the defensive end as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2442135' first='Liam' last='Hanson'] (Libertyville – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hanson is a 6'2” two guard that won off the bounce with his athleticism and first step.&nbsp; Also showed some shake getting past his defender for finishes at the rim.&nbsp; Acrobatic layup maker.&nbsp; Crashed the offensive glass from his guard spot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2321417' first='Lazar' last='Lazarevic'] (Rolling Meadows – 2025)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This 6'6” combo forward can step out and knock down a three along with blowing past defenders that fly at him with shot fakes.&nbsp; Good athlete that has versatility on both ends.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><u>Posts</u></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2105376' first='Colin' last='Stack'] (Benet – 2026)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stack is a 7 footer at the center position that is among the top big men in the 2026 class.&nbsp; He is one of the premier rebounders in the junior class and a major shot blocking presence.&nbsp; Liked how he either rebounded the ball or always kept it alive for his teammates.&nbsp; Elite rim protector at the high school level.&nbsp; Can stretch the floor with his shooting hitting threes from the top of the key.&nbsp; Best move was grabbing a defensive rebound, taking it coast to coast, then converting a scoop shot with his off hand.&nbsp; Players his size aren't supposed to be able to do that!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2455406' first='Kevinas' last='Salkauskas'] (Stagg – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The big man from Stagg continues to show intriguing tools as a potential D1 prospect.&nbsp; At 6'8” he is a super skilled post that has size and broad shoulders.&nbsp; Soft hands and touch around the hoop.&nbsp; Turn around jumpers out of the post, finishes dump offs, cuts to the ball, and is a nifty finisher.&nbsp; Hits the offensive glass for second chance points.&nbsp; Plus mid-range shooter that can also pass it well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2632014' first='Boti' last='Szabo-Zsamaba'] (Lake Forest Academy – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was one of the breakout players of the camp.&nbsp; At 6'8” the Lake Forest Academy product will most certainly be ranked after his play in this setting.&nbsp; He has great size and a rock solid frame.&nbsp; For a young big man the way he screens was excellent!&nbsp; Plus area rebounder on both ends of the floor.&nbsp; Finished with touch on dump off passes inside and can deck it a little including one on a short roll.&nbsp; Seals well on the block and is very fundamentally sound!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2632080' first='Omer' last='Gabela'] (Lake Forest Academy – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Keep an eye on this 2028 6'6” wiry four man.&nbsp; Long and rangy frame that he can add strength on throughout his high school career.&nbsp; The skill level and how quickly he finished in the paint was impressive.&nbsp; Converted out of the dunker spot consistently.&nbsp; Skilled passer that can also handle it from the mid-post along with knocking in 15 foot jumpers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
