Salkauskas, the young big man from Stagg, held his own against upperclassmen and made a strong impression. He had several standout moments attacking the basket with authority, finishing through contact. His quickness allowed him to exploit slower bigs, taking them off the dribble. Salkauskas also excelled in the pick-and-roll, running the floor at a solid pace and using his length to provide rim protection.

6’7″ big has excellent upside. Already has elite strength for his age and shows an excellent ability to finish inside through contact. Rebounding is even more impressive. Positions himself real well to be the first player on the glass almost every time I watched him. It will be interesting to see how he grows long-term. But he’ll be a double-double threat on a nightly basis at this level.
