Freshmen Showcase 1st Team Standouts

Saturday Prep Hoops Arizona had the 2nd annual Freshman Showcase which was hosted at Inspire Courts in Gilbert, AZ. We had right around 80 incoming freshmen who were competing in a few games of 3 on 3 followed by the regular 5 on 5 setting.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were the 1st Team Standouts</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='2457665' first='Viktor' last='Babic'] ALA Gilbert-North   A bigger wing forward is talented. He can handle it, pass it and shoot the three off the catch or pull. He will score on put backs and is fluid to take it to the basket with reverse layups and has a nice touch off the glass. The lefty is a three level scorer who moves without the ball and dunks it effortlessly. His feel is extremely high for his size.   [player_tooltip player_id='2412268' first='Maurice' last='Carter II'] Willow Canyon   The camp MVP was tough from every aspect. He has a powerful handle in traffic in very tight space and can thread the needle to teammates. He gets in the lane with a natural burst or will change speed and directions very quickly. He will finish with his left or right hand with euro steps and shoot the three off the dribble or pull.   [player_tooltip player_id='2386978' first='Jaydon' last='Hayes'] Willow Canyon   A strong scoring combo guard can get downhill with his athleticism and strong frame. Not many guards are stronger than him in the state and he lives in the mid-range area. He has arguably the most polished mid-range game in the class that I have seen so far. He can also hit the three off the catch and play with an edge.   [player_tooltip player_id='1956218' first='Marcus' last='Isaac'] Mountain Pointe   A fluid power forward who showed a multitude of skills. He will block shots, finish at the rim. post up, score on hook shots, use drop steps. dunks it easily, hits the three and from mid-range off the dribble. He is also a quick second and third jumper.   [player_tooltip player_id='2486738' first='Justin' last='Kimbrough'] Mountain Pointe   One of the top pure points guards at the camp. He can score with off the dribble threes, mid-range pull-ups, spins off of his defenders, fall away dirk moves and change of speed drives with his elite tight handle. He ability to create separation from his defender off the dribble is elite.   [player_tooltip player_id='2552725' first='Dominic' last='Lampe'] Valley (Pictured)   A bigger wing forward had arguably the best one-game performance. He rained threes off the dribble shot after shot like it was a layup. He was in one of those rare zones. He gets his shot off super quickly and will shoot it over the top of the defense. He rebounds and blocks shots in his area. He has incredible lineage in his family and is just scratching the surface.   [player_tooltip player_id='2552733' first='Donovan' last='Palmer'] Chandler   A big kid has only been playing a year and half but you see some special stretches of basketball. He was arguably the best shot blocker at the camp with his long arms and fluidity. He can shoot the three off catch and will score on offensive rebound put backs, rim runs and stays aggressive throughout the game on both ends of the court.   [player_tooltip player_id='2386977' first='Kyle' last='Speed Jr'] Gilbert   A defensive minded wing forward can score it off the dribble with mid-range pull-ups. He is an elite rebounder with arguably the best motor at camp. He can fall away in the post and is extremely patient in the paint to score. He can step thru to the rim and he is a great passer. He currently makes his money with his defense and versatility,
