In order to give a thorough breakdown of the many standouts from the event, I will be rolling out standouts all weeks in the different classes. Here's part two of some of the many sophomore and freshmen standouts from VA teams in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='2370724' first='Keaton' last='Gregory'] | 6'9” C | Trinity Episcopal 2027

After starting for TES as a freshman, Gregory has consistently improved over the summer and the fall and looks like he's one of the best young bigs in the state, solidifying that with steady play at the Fall Series and the improvements he continues to show. At 6'9” he showed good touch around the rim with both hands, he's a vocal defender who directed traffic from the back line and challenged shots at the rim, he showed improved touch and consistency on his shot out to the three-point line and showed good passing ability too.

Gavin Mallette | 6'3” WG | Catholic 2027

Mallette is a young wing who is one to keep an eye on in the 757 this year and moving forward, showing he'll be a very important piece for the talented Catholic group this year. The 6'3” wing who is likely still growing brought great energy off the bench for them knocking down shots when he was left open, running hard and finishing in transition, competing defensively and consistently making the right play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470573' first='Cam' last='Claiborne'] | 5'10” PG | John Marshall 2027

Claiborne is sometimes overshadowed on a JM team that is full of upperclassman talent, but he's shown this summer and this fall that he will be an impact player for them, and would likely start at any other school in the Richmond area. While he isn't the biggest guy Claiborne showed a great IQ and understanding of the game making plays for others off the bounce, he shot the ball well from deep, he was a pesky defender and a crafty finisher as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2624539' first='Austin' last='Agosto'] | 5'9” PG | Blue Ridge 2027

Agosto is one of a number of new players for this talented Barons team, following in the footsteps of his brother and former Blue Ridge star Josh Colon who won multiple state championships before heading to Fordham. Agosto made a solid debut showing he can be an immediate impact as a defender who picks up the length of the floor, he showed quick burst and the ability to make plays when he gets in the paint and he scored it efficiently in a number of ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548185' first='Kelvin' last='Anderson'] | 6'2” CG | Catholic 2028

Anderson is one of the best young players in the state coming into high school with quite the reputation already, and he showed he's going to be competing for serious minutes on one of the top teams in the 757. At 6'2” he already has a great frame that has him ready for the physicality of high school basketball, he showed great change of pace and direction off the bounce, he finished well when he got to the paint, made shots from multiple levels and showed great instincts on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548181' first='Isaiah' last='Carter'] | 6'6” WF | John Marshall 2028

Carter is another freshman who already has quite the reputation as one of the top players in the 2028 class in the country, and even with JM having a stacked roster of seniors and juniors he's just too good to leave off the floor even as a freshman. At 6'6” he already has the positional size and length to guard scoring wings as he can challenge shots and get deflections, he shot the ball extremely well from deep, showed his natural athleticism as a finisher and he's likely still growing which would be scary moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2918931' first='Jarrell' last='Hurt'] | 6'7” PF | Henrico 2028

Hurt showed there's another freshman to keep an eye on in the Richmond area, as the 6'7” big man was thrust into the starting lineup for Henrico and did more than just hold his own against some very good teams. He's a well built 6'7” forward who is both strong and mobile to play in the paint and run the floor in transition, he competed hard on both ends and didn't shy away from physical play, he showed good touch around the rim and he showed he will likely be able to stretch the floor moving forward.
