Gregory delivered a statement performance with a 20-point double-double. This further solidified his reputation as the top big man in the area. He is considered a legitimate Division I prospect. He controlled the glass on both ends. He anchored the paint defensively. Once he established position, stopping him was nearly impossible.
Keaton scored in a variety of ways. He finished through contact. He stepped out to knock down jumpers. He made timely reads out of pick-and-roll situations and had some monster dunks. His understanding of when to push hard and when to pull back shows a high basketball IQ. Beyond the numbers, it was his competitive edge that stood out. He plays with a motor and physicality that separates him from most frontcourt players at this level.

Gregory continues to look the part of a high-major prospect. At 6’8 with legitimate floor-spacing ability, he immediately changes how defenses have to guard ball screens and help situations. He opened the night knocking down a confident three and never lost rhythm. What stands out most is his comfort playing inside and out. He confidently steps into shots off the catch, seals deep in the paint, and finishes through contact.
Defensively, he was just as impactful. Gregory altered multiple shots around the rim and controlled the glass on both ends. His timing as a weak-side rim protector is advanced for his age, and he rebounds outside his area. As he continues to add strength, he projects as a true stretch-four who can also play small-ball five. There’s no question he’s firmly in Division I territory, and his long-term ceiling is extremely high.

Gregory has been one of the most consistent and productive bigs in the area for multiple seasons. His game continues to mature. He is a Division I–caliber post with size and skill. He’s been a focal point for Trinity’s offense. He scores efficiently on the block while also stretching defenses with a reliable jumper. He excels in ball-screen actions. He understands when to roll hard and he also knows when to pop into space.
Beyond the scoring, Gregory impacts the game defensively with his rebounding and rim protection. His feel for the game often goes overlooked. He’s a willing passer, communicates well, and uses his IQ to put himself in the right spots. Early offers are already on the table from Radford and the University of Ohio. Another summer on the 3SSB circuit with Team Loaded VA ahead. Expect his recruitment to continue trending upward.

Gregory is a prospect that appears to have embraced the process because he has just steadily improved with time. His production is more and more consistent, he’s becoming more aggressive as a shot blocker and rebounder to go with his frame filling out. He can play in the high post due to his touch and ability to spread the ball around from that area of the floor. I fully expect Gregory’s improvement to maintain that steady rate over the last two seasons of his high school career. He should garner more division one attention as that continues.

Keaton operates well in his role for Trinity Episcopal. Low maintenance big with length and mobility. Plays with nice energy, battles defensively, and runs the floor hard in transition. Should only continue to develop with time and reps. Hitting threes, attacking the midrange, and finishing above the rim in transition. Good all-around defender with sharp instincts. Comfortable guarding all three front court positions.

-Came away impressed with the patience and execution on the low block out of Gregory as he came two rebounds short of a triple double while shooting 56% from the floor. Gregory got it going early with a catch in the middle of the zone before he hit the midrange J, and proceeded to score effectively within the flow of the game. The touch is pretty automatic from the low block and the jumper and FT form look fluid. I wouldn’t say that Gregory is a physical specimen yet, but he plays with some moxie and isn’t afraid to mix it up in the paint fighting for rebounds. I was impressed by how well he communicates on the back line of the defense, executing a drop coverage pretty effectively but closing space with drivers if they turned the corner coming off a ball screen and contested their shots around the basket. I also liked his defensive awareness to recover from the opposite side to block shots if the opponent grabbed an offensive board– the awareness and communication is always great to see in a young prospect. Gregory was efficient with his movement and dribbles, looking comfortable bringing the ball up the floor and creating for others in the halfcourt. There’s a lot of upside here as a skilled big that can stretch the floor and serve as an effective connector.
