Connor Lavin has made noticeable strides over the past year, both physically and in his impact on the game. He came onto the scene this summer with Team Loaded 804. He has continued that momentum into the high school season at Woodberry Forest. Lavin is a true interior presence who plays with size and physicality. He protects the rim. He finishes consistently around the basket. He does a strong job sealing defenders to create scoring angles inside. He's also a vocal presence on the floor, bringing value through his communication and energy. Lavin constantly works on his game. He has positioned himself as one of the better remaining bigs in the 2026 class. He currently holds offers from Randolph College, Fisher College, Waynesburg University, Wilson College, and Dean College

[player_tooltip player_id='2459361' first='Caleb' last='Straughter'] put together an impressive summer on the Under Armour circuit with VA Havoc. He has continued to show why he's one of the most intriguing unsigned wings in the region. He's a natural scorer who can hurt defenses at all three levels and create offense in a variety of ways. Straughter is comfortable attacking off the dribble, getting to his spots, and finishing through contact. Beyond the scoring, he rebounds well for his position. He has the defensive versatility to guard multiple spots on the floor. His game translates well to the college level. It's only a matter of time before a program secures a wing who can make an immediate impact. He has been a major reason for Varina's success this season. He is also among the top players in the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='2548295' first='Dean' last='Quaye Jr.'] is a guard who continues to trend upward while competing on a national schedule with S3 Academy. He plays with toughness on both ends of the floor. He brings a competitive edge. This edge shows up in winning plays. Quaye excels at attacking the basket, finishes well through contact, and applies constant pressure defensively as an on-ball defender. He's also a reliable shooter who has been playing some of the best basketball of his career this season. Quaye has flown under the radar for some. Still, his toughness, versatility, and two-way impact will translate immediately to the college game. He has a great physical and long frame. This helps him on both sides to muscle past smaller defenders. He also uses his length well to disrupt passes. I fully expect him to be a steal for any program lucky to land him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2780068' first='Eric' last='Thompson'] Jr. has been a key piece in Highland Springs' success this season and continues to elevate his profile. He's a confident scorer who can put points on the board in multiple ways. He has proven he can really shoot the basketball. Thompson has a college-ready frame. He plays with a physical edge. He is especially aggressive on the defensive end as an on-ball defender. His 42-point performance earlier this year speaks to his scoring upside, but it's his competitiveness and toughness that stand out. He's a guard that college programs should be tracking closely. He is one of the area's top scorers on an undefeated Highland Springs squad.

Lincoln Hundey has quietly put together a strong season at Godwin. He has established himself as one of the better shooters in the area. He's lethal from beyond the arc and has a strong feel for the game as a scoring point guard. Hundey plays with discipline, competes on both ends, and understands how to impact the game within a team concept. When he gets going, he can score in bunches. His shooting ability makes him a valuable piece at the next level. A high-IQ guard with clear college potential.
