2024 Toledo Top 64 – Purple Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2024 Toledo Top 64 is back for its 4th year as it will be held on Sunday, September 29th at Toledo Scott High School. This event brings some of the best players in the NWO area under one roof so that college coaches can come to watch them compete against each other. He is a good throwback player because he is a large kid who is nice and strong. You can tell he likes to be big and physically imposes himself on his opponent's. He has great footwork and touch around the rim. He has many moves that he can go to and makes quick decisions. Even though he is a throw back player he can step out and shoot it. He has become such a better player this past year. He hit a growth spurt and gained a ton of confidence. He can play more positions on the floor and do more. He still has a great shot but he has opened up his inside the arc game. He has a nice midrange and pull-up game because his shot is less likely to get blocked and tougher to contest. He can guard more positions on the floor as well. His high basketball IQ allows him to read defenses and make quick decisions, while his unselfish play style makes him a reliable facilitator. He knows when to score. He can take over games when needed. Can score at all three levels and has a good touch. His versatile scoring arsenal includes a nice jump shot, strong finishing ability at the rim, and adept mid-range skills. A true three-level scorer. He creates his own shot effectively, making him a constant offensive threat. He is an off-the-dribble scorer and has a quick release. He will be able to do this because of his confidence and ability to score at a high volume. He has a deep shooting range, quick release, and the ability to create his own shot off the dribble.  He is very good at creating space and switching speeds. He is a 6'6 wing who can play inside very nicely as well. He has great size and length but also shows flashes of an elite player. He can shoot it from deep but shows some very good off-the-dribble pull-up game. He is a good transition player because he can take it all the way to the rim and finish against bigger players. He is a kid you want on your team because he plays the game the right way. He has a high motor and high IQ. He will make winning plays all day long and that is what colleges and scouts will appreciate seeing on this team and event.
