A prospect who showed flashes for Middletown as a Junior, Showes took some huge leaps forward this summer to make a big climb in our rankings. A massive frame, there's few bigger bodies in Ohio than Showes. Taking up a ton of space defensively, Showes can sit in the paint and protect the rim and clear up on the offensive glass. A major work in progress offensively, Showes showed improvements with screen setting, hands and finishing above the rim. All signs are currently pointed up for Showes as he improves every few months when I watch him play. Showes best basketball is going to be later in his career, name to track down the road!

A two-sport stud for Bishop Watterson, Theado had a big Junior year on the gridiron and hardwood. With his strong frame and physicality translating over to both sports, Theado is a tough cover offensively due to his ability to stretch the floor and also overpower defenders on the block. Likely going to be recruited for both sports, Theado could really help a small college basketball program due to his scoring, size and basketball IQ.

I've always liked the flashes Gutmann has shown and how he moves for his height. His production is starting to turn the corner and become more consistent. I thought Gutmann took nice strides this summer as a stretch-4 who can defend in space. If Gutmann continues to work in the weight room, he could find it even easier to score in the paint due to his height advantage at his position. Gutmann really looks the part and his physical tools will give him every chance to see the floor at the college level.

A Prep Hoops Circuit standout, Staley has been a name we've tracked for a long time. We've discussed his game so often that our readers know about Staley's intriguing size, athleticism and defensive upside from the center position. On a Glenville team that has a lot of guard talent, if Staley can hold down the paint, Glenville could make another deep postseason run this March.

A stretch wing forward, Butterfield is an elite shooter off the catch who can get hot in a hurry if you leave him open. His size plus shooting ability will get him on small college radars. Olentangy Liberty has a ton of size this season and Butterfield will be a key floor spacer. If they can get good guard play, they could be one of the top teams in central Ohio. We'll definitely be following Butterfield this winter to see if he shows any new aspects of his game we didn't get to see in the summer and see how his body continues to mature.
