Today we wanted to review four of the transfers we believe will have the biggest impact on the 2024-25 high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2364681' first='Marquis' last='Newson'] – 6'4″ / 2027 / Academy of the New Church / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] EYBL / Combo Guard: The former No. 1 ranked 2027 prospect in Delaware jumped to ANC and his transfer immediately changes the face of the Friends School League. The addition of Newson to the defending FSL champions' lineup makes ANC the favorite to repeat in 2024-25. Newson is widely considered a Top 25 prospect nationally for the Class of 2027. During his freshman campaign at Sanford (DE) this fast, versatile, and aggressive guard averaged 12 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest. At the DMV Live event in June, his first runs with his new teammates, Newson posted 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per contest. In August Newson was named as a top performer at the Peach Jam tournament as well as the HG Future All-American Camp. He already holds offers from Virginia Tech and Arizona State.

[player_tooltip player_id='2478634' first='Julian' last='Sadler'] – 6'2″ / 2025 / Perkiomen School / PA Coalition / Combo Guard: Perkiomen School is the reigning PAISAA state champions. They return the bulk of their rotation from last year and now the Panthers have added one of the elite scoring guards in the region as a postgraduate. Pairing Sadler (22.8 ppg.; 5.6 rpg. 4.4 apg. in 2023-24) with DI guards [player_tooltip player_id='1197611' first='KJ' last='Cochran'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1865300' first='Gabe' last='Tanner'] is just unfair to opponents. After the 2023-24 season, Sadler was a 1st Team All-PAC, 1st Team All-Area and 1st Team All-District 1-6A selection. Obviously, Sadler can score at all three levels. But over the last two years his buckets came in tough fashion against double and triple teams. Perk's deep and talented lineup will not allow for that hyper-focused attention on just a single player. So, imagine the outrageous stat lines Sadler will post when he is operating against one-on-one matchups.

Janiwade Sulley – 6'6″ / 2027 / Phelps School / Beauchamp Elite / Shooting Guard: Sulley is an ultra-talented prospect who will immediately supply the Phelps lineup with size and scoring to fill the hole left by the unexpected departure [player_tooltip player_id='1865248' first='Will' last='Riley'] (early to Illinois). In 2023-23 Sulley played at West Seattle High School (WA) where he averaged 16 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds per contest. He is a “big guard” with speed, a solid frame, and well-rounded skills. Sulley understands how to use his length and build to his advantage. He can bully opposing guards and get to his favorite spots, or he can elevate to score / shoot over smaller defenders. Sulley possesses a solid mid-range game, he can pop threes and get all to the way to the rim off the bounce. Once he is at the hoop, he will not hesitate to flush on an opponent's head. Sulley also owns crafty dribble drive moves, a high IQ and solid court vision. So, he can run as a point guard too. This rising sophomore already holds offers from Arizona State.

[player_tooltip player_id='2492438' first='Adam' last='Walker'] – 6'11″ / 2026 / Westtown School / Young & Restless / Power Forward: This athletic big fella popped onto our radar at the DMV Live II event in June. There he displayed tremendous athleticism, a polished interior skill set and the ability to rebound at both ends. However, it was not until Walker hit the courts on the July circuit that college coaches were able to witness the depth of his extraordinary skill set. Last month Walker (2nd Team All-HGSL selection) consistently finished alley-oops with authority from the baseline as well as the dunker spot. Walker also flashed a solid mid-range game as he knocked down jumpers and operated in pick-n-roll action. On defense, Walker proved to be a fierce rim protector. Westtown brings back a talented and experienced group for 2024-25, but the addition of this double-double machine could be the asset that gets the Moose past ANC in the Friends School League.
