We are finally entering a little bit quieter time of year on the basketball calendar now that July has officially turned to August. While there will still be some Elite Camps and events of that nature this month, the grassroots season is essentially over and high school workouts won't begin for another month or so. During this time, we would like to take a look back at some of the standouts from the spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Here we will highlight eight of our favorite prospects from the Grit Region.

A major stock-riser in Kentucky's Class of 2026 during the month of June, Coen continued his strong play with KY Future Elite 16u at the Grit Region Finals where he was named an All-Tournament performer. At 6'7", Coen has excellent length and athletic tools which he pairs with some ability off of the dribble to attack closeouts and play above the rim in transition. Look for Coen to have a breakout junior season at Fredrick Douglass and play his way onto the radar of college programs at all levels. Very high-upside prospect.

[program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] - White 16u was very competitive throughout the spring, but they saved their best play for the Grit Region Finals where they finished as the 16u runner-up. A big part of their success was balanced guard play with Haan being one of the consistent standouts. The smaller guard from Zionsville High School had some massive individual performances showcasing his three-point shooting ability and crafty finishing at the end of his drives. A big 29-point explosion really turned some heads at the Grit Region Finals. Look for him to play his way into a role in Zionsville's backcourt this coming season.

[program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] as a program was dominant through most of the Prep Hoops Circuit across all three age groups, but in terms of long term prospectus this Ben Davis High School product at the 16u level has as much upside as anyone. Ladd is a long, athletic, 6'4" wing that can really stretch the floor as a shooting threat. He makes them off of the catch at a high percentage, but can also create his own off of the dribble. When you pair his ball skill with his positional size and length you get a really intriguing long-term prospect that should continue to breakout heading into his junior season.

Normally it doesn't take long to recognize the legitimate Division I prospects in a given gym. They move at a different pace, have different physical tools, and impact the game in a different way than everyone else. That certainly was the case with Amir Moye for Corey Graham Elite 16u at our Prep Hoops Circuit events this spring and summer. Moye led his team to the 16u title at the Prep Hoops Grit Region Finals as well. He is a dominant force off of the dribble with an explosiveness when getting downhill to finish that is really hard for opposing defenses to deal with.

One of the better catch-and-shoot threats on the Prep Hoops Circuit this spring and summer, Pomis capped things off with a First Team All-Tournament selection at the Grit Region Finals. The Hersey High School product from Illinois was great for [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] - Black 16u showcasing his perimeter skill level with good positional size and length. Another interesting wrinkle to his game is what he does operating with his back to the basket. They would run some offense through Pomis getting a mid-post catch and then allow him to operate as a scorer or facilitator in space. Versatile offensive player.

Another one of the standouts from [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] - White 16u's dominant backcourt. Sims experienced a real breakout spring and summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit which culminated in helping lead his team to a runner-up finish at the Grit Region Finals. The Pendleton Heights High School guard is excellent off of the dribble consistently playing with two feet in the paint where he finishes from the intermediate range, at the rim, and creates as a passer for open teammates. He was a First Team All-Tournament performer at the Grit Region Finals averaging nearly 20 points per game.

There is no denying the physical and athletic tools that this 6'5" wing from Pike High School possesses. Stephens impressed throughout the spring and summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 16u on the Prep Hoops Circuit with athletic drives to the basket, great plays in transition, and high-level defensive versatility. He is well-rounded on both ends of the floor and a very projectable prospect. While the physical and athletic tools provide an intriguing upside, what he already does as a productive two-way wing establish a high floor as well and that is what made him so productive for one of the top teams on the Prep Hoops Circuit.

Woodall was consistently one of the best back to the basket threats on the Prep Hoops Circuit this spring and summer. The 6'4" left-handed forward is a load to handle on the block with some very impressive footwork and a collection of traditional post moves that he used to dominate around the basket. Playing with KY Future Elite 16u, this Lexington Catholic High School product was a double-double machine as seen by his averages of 15.3 points and 12.5 rebounds per game while helping to lead his team to a Final Four appearance at the Grit Region Finals.
