Andrew Baxley’s Film Room: 2026s Part 1

Preston's tape featured a lot of transition success, both as a highlight finisher above the rim and as a passer when bringing the ball up the floor. Most of Jy'ell's half-court scoring was around the paint as well, but he did it a few different ways including from the dunker spot, with his back to the basket, or on dribble drives. He submitted his highlights from his Grassroots Season with Carolina Hoopz and I again liked what I saw. Fludd showed some shiftiness in beating his defender off the dribble, lots of skill getting to his spots and connecting from the mid-range, and strength in finishing through contact at the rim. Hall submitted his film from the Adidas 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill, SC, where he averaged over 20 PPG playing for Phenom United 3SSB 16U. Hall is uber-talented with a knack for scoring the ball around the rim and from the perimeter. He showed lots of quickness, a good handle, creativity in finishing around rim protectors, and a knockdown left-handed stroke. He has a high-arching shot, but it was very replicable and seemed to be effective off the dribble and off the catch. Brandon moved well off the ball along the perimeter to find space and would cut through the lane when his defenders were ball-watching. He is a 6'4" Wing who played with [program_tooltip program_id='2246675' first='Charleston' last='Raptors'] this Summer and has an intriguing combination of length, skill, and shooting ability. Terrell is a fluid mover and can take a defender off the dribble or shoot over the top of them. His length stood out on video and caused lots of mismatch issues on both ends of the floor.
