About Braysen
Expert Analysis

Braysen might not have been at his very best on Monday night, but he is one of the only players in the state who can go for 30 points and 8 assists on an “off night”. Pinewood Prep brought two to the ball on every Stockman screen, which freed up tons of space for Braysen to simplify the game and be a passer. 22 of his 30 points in the second half, and it really felt like he flipped the scoring switch after hitting a logo three midway through the third quarter. Stockman is more than comfortable scoring off the dribble, but there will also be times when the offense isn’t run through him and he can work off the catch.

When it comes to scoring the ball, there are few, if any, with a stronger resume than Stockman. He averaged 29.2 PPG with over 100 made threes in 2024-25, and with a season even similar to that in 2025-26, he could put some Ben Lippen records well away from reach.

‘s win over Anthony Morrow Elite. Stockman had three made threes in that game, knocking them down off the dribble and spotting up. Although he did have significant usage as a facilitator, Braysen was used off the ball more than during the High School season. When he had the ball in his hands, Stockman handled it well at speed and had a few nice dribble moves to help him get into the lane.

Braysen plays the game with some swag and a lot of confidence on the floor. Stockman is the leader of this Falcons squad for Head Coach Jay Reid. Braysen is very crafty with the ball in his hands and finding the open man. He will at times take some tough shots.
Stockman will use the crossover move to attack the cup from the left-side of the basket. He does a nice job of changing gears and switching directions. Braysen will absorb contact on the way to the bucket.
Braysen averaged 20.4 ppg, 10.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists a season ago for the Hawks (13-13). He enters his junior season with 1,277 points, 587 rebounds and 228 assists in a Hawks uniform.

Stockman has good court awareness and vision from out top. Braysen keeps the ball low to the vest and rarely turns it over. He looks to push the ball up the floor in transition and certainly has no problems connecting on open jumpers along the way. Braysen is a coach’s son who plays like it on the floor. He plays a Ben Lippen in Columbia which plays in the SCISA Class 4A ranks.

Braysen is another prospect who will be wearing a new jersey this AAU Season. Stockman has joined the newly created Middleton Hoops Elite, an EYBL Champions League program sponsored by Charleston Native Khris Middleton. Braysen is one of the elite scorers in the state and is coming off a High School Season where he averaged over 20 Points Per Game. Stockman has a very tight handle with a nasty stepback and is efficient at scoring from close or long range – all of which should translate well to MHE this spring.

Stockman recently went over 1,000 career points as a sophomore for the Falcons. Braysen really plays the game with a great deal of confidence on the floor. He has the ability to create his own shot or simply make the extra pass to a teammate.
