Rowe’s Palmetto City Hurricanes teammate, Redding, is another stock riser in the 2027 Rankings. He made a huge jump this time around, moving up from outside the Top 100 to #50 Overall and a Top 10 big man. Braxton played a huge role in the best season in school history, averaging over 8 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 3 blocks per game while showing an improved feel and skill on the offensive end of the floor.

Redding, the lone non-senior on the entire ALA roster, has really taken big strides with his game since I last saw them in the season opener. His length was a major presence defensively for the Patriots, racking up 10 rebounds and 6 blocks, but the jump shooting and ball handling were what I was most impressed by with Braxton. Not only has he developed a comfortable handle, but now he is also a knockdown mid-range shooter with more room for growth into a three-point shooter. This team doesn’t need him to be a high-volume offensive player because of their two elite guards, but when he adds double-figure scoring, it makes them a very difficult team to beat.

. He is a very skilled post who is starting to learn how to use his size to overpower defenses. Redding did just that against Swansea on Friday, converting on three and-ones for 9 points. What was just as impressive as the trio of finishes through contact was his perfection from the free-throw line that showed signs of untapped potential as a shooter. No matter how good he is on offense, Braxton will have to become more aggressive on the glass and as a rim protector to be the best player he can be.

Redding is an intriguing Forward who I will be adding to my radar following Tuesday’s games in Columbia. Listed at 6’6″, he has good size and length to be a factor around the rim. However, Redding is also a very good athlete with bounce that further boosts his abilities around the paint. He had success on both sides of the glass and ran the floor well in transition, too.
