I joked with Barber about being this year's NASCAR player, all jokes aside, no one could stop him from going left today. He did a good job of getting in the lane, and used his skill and vision to create passing angles for assists. As opponents laid off, he found a way to score with little runners around the cup. The 3.9 student turned quite a bit of heads on the day.

Childress was as aggressive as I've seen him in a long time. The combo didn't simply settle for catch and shoots. He took the ball aggressively to the basket, scoring on runners and floaters around the rim. He showed a good first step as well as a soft touch when finishing in the lane.

Cardona was one of the shiftiest players at the event. He combined wiggle along with solid fundamentals. The 2025 Combo did a good job of playing off two feet. He used ball and shot fakes to freeze defenders, scoring on some nice scoop shots around the bucket.

Britt was one of the best defenders I saw at the camp. He played with good instincts, jumping the passing lanes on several occasions to get quick and easy steals. In addition to turning defense to offense, his half court offense was smooth, he showed a quick first step along with the ability to defeat defenders off the bounce.

Jones has a chance to be an all defensive type player this season. He was one of the best on ball defenders at the event. He dominated opposing ballhandlers, using a football level toughness and good lateral quickness to stay in front of players. He hit the deck for 50/50, while out muscling several players for loose balls.

Leland was a fresh face at the event. He showed good offensive skill. Moving well without the ball, while coming off screens fundamentally, and showing the ability to knock down shots. The Shadow Ridge sharpshooter showed that he has the ability to change the scoreboard with his shooting,

The class of 2028 is stacking up to be one of the best ones in a long time. Add Edmond's to the list. He has done a terrific job of developing his body. The 6'5 incoming freshman, ran the floor well and showed surprisingly good lift off the floor. At this rate, by the time the season starts, he could be flirting with a top 10 ranking in his class.
