has been the starting point guard for Cimarron the last couple of years. He plays with a relentless motor on both ends of the court, and he’s also a very unselfish player. On offense, he knows how to draw attention and then dish the ball off at the right time. He is also a decent shooter, and knocks down both jumpers and three’s if he as the best look. On defense, Cardona looks to outcompete his opponents and he rakes in 3 steals a game.

Cardona is a high IQ guard that looks to create for others, but is also a decent scorer himself. There were a few times where he drove to the rim and ran into a slew of defenders, but he still hit the shot. His effort and energy on defense impressed me. He came up with a few steals and threw some good lead passes that led to easy lay-ups for his teammates. In order for him to have even more success as a point guard, he will need to get slightly faster.

Cardona was one of the shiftiest players at the event. He combined wiggle along with solid fundamentals. The 2025 Combo did a good job of playing off two feet. He used ball and shot fakes to freeze defenders, scoring on some nice scoop shots around the bucket.
