(pictured) certainly turned heads on Saturday. The Basic big man was a legit scoring threat out there, and he threw down one of the best dunks of the day (if not the best). He also had other strong drives to the rack and finished through contact. As a defender, Edmond was disruptive and collected boards. After a day like that, his stock is definitely up, and you can tell he’s been in the lab.
– Selected to the All Star Game
– Has a 77 inch wingspan

utilized his height, IQ, and aggressiveness to his advantage against St. Paul. On offense, he was backing down defenders and going right through them at times, and he also managed to draw contact on several of his attempts. On the other end of the court, Edmond was gathering rebounds very often and protecting the rim by blocking shots. All in all, it was probably the best I’ve seen him play, and I liked how he impacted the game in so many ways.

unfortunately missed the high school season due to injury. But it appears that he is back in action. The 6’5 big man can bulldoze through opponents on offense, and often gets to where he’s trying to go. He can also rack up offensive rebounds. On defense, Edmond gets physical and doesn’t give up anything easy. You’ll also notice he has a really solid motor for guy his size.

Terrance “TJ” Edmond is a talented 6’5 forward/center that plays for Basic Academy. He has the ability to overpower his opponents in the paint, and can also score second chance points when he grabs offensive rebounds. As a defender, he is capable of protecting the rim and can come up with a couple of blocks a game.

Saw Edmond the other day during the High Academic Camp. He brings a physicality, along with a tough interior presence. Like a lot of young players he’s developed, however he has exponentially improved over the past year.

The class of 2028 is stacking up to be one of the best ones in a long time. Add Edmond’s to the list. He has done a terrific job of developing his body. The 6’5 incoming freshman, ran the floor well and showed surprisingly good lift off the floor. At this rate, by the time the season starts, he could be flirting with a top 10 ranking in his class.

It’s rare that a 2028 stockrises, partly because their rankings haven’t been released yet. The improvment that I saw from Edmonds from the Las Vegas Middle School Combine to now, told me that he’s a clear canidate for a player to move up from where I would have had him ranked. He ran the floor a lot better, and displayed a nice soft touch around the rim. At 6’4 230 if he continues to grow and develop his game, he’ll have a shot to be near the top of the rankings for his class.
