The Last Dance: Teddy’s Saturday Standouts (Part 1)

Absorbed pressure with the ball up top and found an open guy on the low block for several easy assists. Added a fastbreak score and a contest midrange shot halfway through this contest. Forced a couple turnovers defensively too with a very difficult and-one against two defenders on the break. Like Ablin, Simmons showed excellent distribution skills this morning. Consistently finding open guys in the corner and in transition. Best assist came at the end of the first half when he was swarmed by two defenders. Out dribbled both of them for an easy assist to a guy down low. I'd say at least 12 potential assists throughout the game. Used his physical frame to score several times inside through contact while also getting out and running in transition. Added a baseline jump shot later on. Then used outstanding defense and transition play to lead a big run for H4 in the second half. Hit a pair of triples to help catapult a run in the first half but got more aggressive as the game progressed. Created several second-chance opportunities in the second half in addition to pushing the tempo up the floor. Athletic 6'6” wing showed an ability to stretch the floor and score from all three levels in this matchup. As Fury adjusted, he became more of a playmaker. Picking up a pair of assists to begin the 2nd half. [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] took care of business this morning in a full-team effort. High-energy point guard created so many shots against 1Dream Blue and found the bucket at a consistent clip. Outstanding footwork and ball skills to break past defenders. Also saw an ability to make plays as a passer and keep plays alive on the offensive glass. Smaller, but very athletic guard who snagged boards and created lots of trouble defensively. Saw him hit a catch-and-shoot 3-pointer early on with an explosive layup attacking the rim shortly after. Even showed flashes as a passer as the game progressed. Had two acrobatic layups in the second half.&nbsp; The first was a floater over two defenders near the baseline. But Pfrommer stands out the most for his potential. Versatile 6'4” W/G positions himself well. Gets guys involved as a passer and showed good shooting abilities.
