Bringing excellent footwork down low, Paine has found success drawing fouls or creating efficient finishes around the basket. Bringing soft touch from the line, Paine continues to show growth spacing the floor, particularly from spot-up attempts. Alongside the smart passing out of the post, he brings an especially versatile offensive skill set that has been conducive to winning in recent memory with ThunderRidge and Mountain Stars.

Betts will be a quickly rising name in the 2028 class, already beginning to garner national recognition. Right around 6’11, the lanky big is already an elite shot blocker, bringing great hand eye coordination while defending the basket. His discipline while defending the basket keeps him on the floor, providing varsity level value before his first high school season has begun.
Highlights
A versatile offensive weapon who brings perimeter skills and soft touch on attempts around the basket. Showing signs as a pick and pop threat, Williams potential as a floor spacing frontcourt option would be an interesting wrinkle to Chaparral’s halfcourt offense options. Arguably his biggest upside skill is the passing, at times displaying skill hitting cutters through tight windows, possibly a passing hub in the near future.

The mobile forward has been a routine cover with a top in-state program in Eaglecrest, bringing a high motor with notable quickness at his height. Still a key screen setter for this group’s various perimeter playmakers, he consistently seeks and sets hard screens to move opponents off the line. Continuing to add strength, he continues to provide production backing down opponents for layups or hook shots with the right hand. Defensively, Barger remains a fairly quick defender whose above average verticality for the position makes him an intimidating interior defender to go up against.
Highlights
A proactive interior defender, Jenkins routinely took away driving lanes, getting into possession early to contest opponents. Bringing active hands on contests, he maximizes his reach to contain shot attempts and force opponents into tough positions.
Highlights
Mason brings in a high motor, constantly attacking the glass for second chance opportunities. His wide reach paired with the aggression down low makes the frontcourt prospect an effective role player for one of the top programs in 6A basketball, in Chaparral.
Duncan is a high motor forward who pressures the glass and works hard to contest shot attempts around the rim. Especially mobile at roughly 6’6, he is an eager defender, quickly taking away driving lanes on the help side to force a kick out. His active hands allow him to be a threat for the steal once opponents pick up their dribble, dependable ripping the ball away when necessary. Offensively, he has shown upside as a floor spacer, most often from the catch. He can attack closeouts to draw contact at the rim, already an assertive decision maker at the varsity level.
