The top player in West Virginia's 2026 class, the first thing I notice when watching Sancomb is how hard he plays. This is a wing who can also play the point who is relentless in attacking the basket. An elite passer as well, Sancomb dishes the ball out at a high level with advanced reads. When the defense rotates expecting Sancomb to pass it to one teammate, he skips it to the teammate who just got left open. The lefty has a bully ball driving style that leads to Sancomb getting a ton of trips to the charity stripe. If Sancomb can start to consistently knock down perimeter jumpers, he'll rise even further up regional recruiting boards.

The number two player in West Virginia's 2026 class, Lewis is a modern big man who can do a variety of things on the court. Lewis likes to faceup and attack off the dribble, using his size and frame to score at the rim. An impressive rebounder, Lewis consistently gets double-double type stat lines when I watch him play. Another area where Lewis is productive is on transition, where he usually outruns the opposing bigs down the court. This allows Lewis to get leakout layups and put himself in position to snag offensive rebounds as well. Really impressed with the production Lewis has shown me with WV Gold.

The last 16 U player featured in this article, Walker did some nice things attacking off the dribble for Grand Park Premier on Saturday. I like the frame Walker has for his age and he's more physical of a driver than many other guards his size and age. Also a capable shooter from the outside, Walker knocked down a couple deep shots on Saturday. I love watching this Grand Park Premier team because of their incredible passing ability and Walker can certainly make the right passes to open teammates. He also fits well on this team because Walker can be the guy to beat an advantage and get to the paint to score as well. Really liked what I saw from Walker this weekend as he should play a key role for Noblesville this winter.

The number two prospect in West Virginia's 2027 class, King was getting busy attacking off the dribble on Saturday afternoon. With a good first step and the ability to attack going both directions, King was tough to keep out of the paint. Combine that with creative finishes at the rim like euro-steps, jab steps from a triple threat and jump-stops and King was efficient once he got to the rim. King also drew a handful of fouls at the rim, getting to the foul line often. A name to track from West Virginia's 2027 class.

My favorite new name I found from Ohio this weekend, Curtis has a ton of upside down the road. With great height and a solid body, Curtis is tough to stop from getting the ball in the paint. Even with occasional double-teams thrown his way, Curtis still managed to score efficiently when he got in position to shoot. I thought his hands were soft, catching most passes thrown in his direction even when contested. When Curtis gets some continued weight room development to improve his center of gravity, it'll be even tougher to move him off his spot. Name to track from SW Ohio's 2027 class.
