An impressive perimeter playmaker, the twitchy and speedy lead guard pulled his Tru Colorado group to the 17U championship, falling short against Mountain Stars. Despite the loss, Nettles provided numerous made shots on pull-up jumpers or drawn fouls around the rim. Excellent at recognizing when to push the pace against a lackluster defense, there were few guards who controlled the offensive end to Nettles' degree.

Sylvere was among the hardest lead guards to keep up with one on one, displaying exceptionally quick change of speeds while handling the ball. Providing a counter whatever foot position by his defender, the guard was adept fooling defenders to maximize his opportunities in the driving lanes. With the ball on string, Sylvere controlled the pace for [program_tooltip program_id='2418944' first='The' last='Club'], routinely drawing in multiple defenders while they attempted to contest the rim. He had multiple 25+ point efforts at this event, repeatedly proving himself as one of the top lead guards in the 17U division.

The twitchy, yet undersized guard was a handful for opponents, bringing a seemingly limitless endurance on the court. Adept at running ball screens to open up driving lanes or mid-range jumpers, the lead guard was among the most impactful prospects for the Miners, despite his lack of size. Defensively, he was a pest at the point of attack or passing lanes, the recipient of numerous steals.

Nieto brings a smooth handle to the table, excellent operating off of two feet for finishes around the basket. His strong frame paired with the soft touch propelled Morgan Dawgs to a 3-1 effort throughout the weekend. Defensively, he matched up with likesize or bigger opponents at the point of attack, holding his own laterally.

Williams continued to reaffirm his steady production, actively attacking the rim and leveraging his positional strength to move around opponents. Just as much of a threat without the ball, he routinely pressured the rim from backdoor cuts, quick to take advantage of ball watching opponents. It is no accident that Williams and company with the 2027 Mountain Stars group secured a 17U title, bringing immense pedigree and composure against the best opponents.

The game comes easy to Howery, routinely finding ways to hit teammates through tight windows. Complemented by the above average height in the backcourt, Howery was an impressive two-way option that capitalized on some of the most difficult passing angles. He continues to progress as a mid-range scorer out of pivot moves, scoring around contests due to his lanky frame and comfort against contests.

His above average height for a lead guard allows him to play a wide variety of roles on both ends, although his abilities as a perimeter playmaker were essential to the Miners success this weekend.
