[player_tooltip player_id='1203909' first='Alex' last='Starcher'] played huge during the weekend. Starcher had somewhat of a coming out party after a injury shortened school season then jumping onto the Hustle roster and rolling into Myrtle Beach. Starcher really displayed a full skill set and dynamic playmaking whether it was passing, leading the break, finishing at the rim or shooting deep. Starcher really picked up steam in the second session averaging a bit over 12ppg with four really strong overall performances.

[player_tooltip player_id='2243493' first='Braedy' last='Johnston'] is one of my favorite guys on this roster. He's a "glue guy", utility man, or Swiss army knife as a basketball player. Johnston has the distinction of playing several roles and positions because one, he has the physical gifts to do so, second he has the IQ to take on such roles. Johnston was either leading or second leading scorer for the Hustle in session I but he does so many things that aren't measured in a score book. Johnston can guard 4 positions, shoot from deep if you dare him, play point guard and run the sets or simply find scorers in transition and half court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2303394' first='Luke' last='Anderson'] has been a mainstay on the Hustle squad for the 2024 season. Anderson is a nice combination of size and skill, complete with a smooth mid-range to three point shot. The Parkersburg High Big Red returner has improved throughout the AAU season and he showed a more physical and assertiveness in the paint while in Myrtle Beach. Averaging just over 4 ppg but grabbing 5-6 rebounds as well helped made contributions to the weekend successes especially in session II.

[player_tooltip player_id='2306370' first='Matthew' last='Stellato'] brought his usual high energy floor general mode to Myrtle Beach. Stellato is a fierce competitor with great vision and a pass first attitude on the floor. He regularly penetrated or pushed tempo to create for teammates and balance the floor for shooters. Stellato didn't burn up the scoring column but his relentlessness and hustle couldn't be measured.

[player_tooltip player_id='2303395' first='Payton' last='Bailes'] seems to be a late blooming budding star. He has continued to prove to everyone he's a next level player. Bailes seems to always be in the right spot at the right time and with his diverse skill set as a guard, he keeps the offense from going stale whether it be from passing or shooting. I like Bailes's poise in transition but also admire his timely shooting when its necessary as he makes excellent decisions with the ball. Payton had a spectacular second session in Myrtle averaging over 11ppg while adding several steals and assists.

Finally, [player_tooltip player_id='2211913' first='Preston' last='Clary'] has been one of the most pleasant stories of the spring and summer to cover. Clary has for most people, came outta nowhere and been the lead horse for this Hustle squad. A gentleman and pleasure to speak with, Clary has an alter-ego on the floor and killer instincts with the ball. Clary it seems is always looking to hit opponents with a dagger no matter the situation whether it be a three-ball or a tough physical drive to the bucket. Clary is the picture of "combo guard" if there is one, as he clearly displays those skills. Clary averaged over 11ppg for the weekend but notably nearly 15ppg in the second session including a 19 point performance.
