Alex Starcher Alex Starcher 6'5" | CG Expressions Prep | 2026 State WV is the picture of combo-guard.  He is a solid two-way guard with point guard skills which at his size makes him a problem for high school opponents as well as making several recruiting watchlists.  Starcher spent nearly all of his sophomore year injured but we’d expect him back and better next season.

Alex Starcher Alex Starcher 6'5" | CG Expressions Prep | 2026 State WV comes in as #6 on the list but one of the guys several folks may not know yet.  Starcher playing at private Teays Valley Christian doesn’t always get as much press, but his coach makes sure they play as good of competition as possible to get his guys ready for the next level.  Starcher when you see him play is so smooth and fluid with either hand and has a very quick first step going either direction.  Alex is efficient finishing in the paint as well as shooting from deep.  A real scorers mentality with every tool in his bag.  Starcher is easily projected at D2 and maybe beyond if he’s shooting at a high level in two years.

Alex Starcher Alex Starcher 6'5" | CG Expressions Prep | 2026 State WV is one we’ve been waiting to write about.  According to our scouts present Sunday, Starcher lives up to his billing.  Standing at 6’5″ with quick feet, Starcher caught our eye with his ability to defend.  Nonetheless, his offensive showing certainly disappointed nobody and he took full advantage of why he’s known at one of WV’s top sophomores as well as top overall players.  The upcoming season will certainly be a big one.

Alex Starcher Alex Starcher 6'5" | CG Expressions Prep | 2026 State WV will for sure give some crowds plenty of ooohs and aaahs this year.  He’s a long slick-shooting guard that uses his body well around the basket.  Playing for Teays Valley Christian Starcher will get a few great tests against some out of the area competition that i know some college coaches will keep tabs on.  Id anticipate Alex leading his team in at least two statistical categories for the upcoming year.

Starcher is an electrifying guard that can hit from all 3 levels on the court. Starcher’s main area he can score is from deep. In 22 games played, Starcher averaged 16.9 points per game. Most of his points came from deep. In those 22 games, Starcher made 52 shots from 3-point range out of 132 attempts giving him a 39% per game average. Starcher is quick and can get to the open spots on the floor. Starcher will be a top player to watch in 2024 for Teay Valley Christian High School
