These prospects, who also represent our top 8 ranked players, will have big opportunities throughout this years AAU season and likely gain several offers collectively.
Noah Lewis Noah Lewis 6’6″ | PF George Washington | 2026 State WV has all the characteristics that coaches look for, size, skill and mobility. Lewis is a master of the mundane which means he is high level at all the simple stuff that many players his age haven’t mastered yet. He rebounds at a high level, is efficient around the rim, guards in the post and paint very well, has the makings of a face up game on offense. There are things that he will develop and seems to have a high ceiling for such as outside shooting and ballhandling, to effectively allow him to play a stretch forward kind of role and be a tougher matchup for opponents. Lewis has already secured a Division I offer from Radford, but we can expect that won’t be the last. Two new head coaches with in-state D1 programs as well as a handful of coaching changes regionally in the D1 ranks could change Lewis’s course very quickly.
Eli Sancomb Eli Sancomb 6’4″ | SF Wheeling Central Catholic | 2026 State WV has struggled to stay healthy since entering high school. But left a lasting impression on many who saw him in Charleston two weeks ago. Sancomb is one of the most complete players in regards to skill and versatility not just in 2026 class but in all of WV. Sancomb could play any position 1-3 as well as guard it with ease. He has impressive handles for a 6’4″ guard, high level vision and court awareness, exceptional passer as well as efficient scorer. His versatility in combination with is size and exceptional skill level will in our opinion land him in a Division I program upon graduation. His game film speaks for itself as well as his state tournament showing. He’ll get in front of several D1 coaches this spring and summer and we’d be surprised if an offer doesn’t follow.
Harry Silvis Harry Silvis 6’2″ | SG Parkersburg South | 2026 State WV has been explosive in his sophomore year, starting back on the Big Shots circuit in Myrtle Beach where he put on one of the most memorable shooting displays in recent memory. Silvis carried that momentum into Radford prospect camp where he landed himself an offer. Silvis didn’t slow down once his sophomore season started for Parkersburg South while navigating one of WV’s toughest schedules. Silvis led the South squad in scoring averaging 16ppg and 78% from the ft line as well as cashed in on 67 from beyond the arc. Silvis looks to be what everyone looks for in a shooting guard, quick, athletic and confident. Silvis could continue to grow in height which would gain even more attention. Stay tuned.
Zyon Hawthorne Zyon Hawthorne 6’0″ | CG Woodrow Wilson | 2026 State WV is setting on a current Radford offer, but don’t count him out for more. Zyon is a very efficient and talented point guard/combo guard type player. Likely projecting out to a point guard at the next level, Hawthorne has all the skill needed to play at that level. He’s smooth and decisive. Naturally balances and reads the floor. Not a distributing only type pg but not a ball dominant one either, he’s a great combination of ability to play either side.
Dazon Reid Dazon Reid 6’2″ | SG South Charleston | 2026 State WV is the player in this class that might have the highest ceiling. Crazy athletic and quick, Reid has high level ability and that’s what many are projecting. Great vision, recognition and basketball IQ, Dazon is a guard who has a very high ceiling we’d expect to take big leaps in improvement each year. I think we’d be safe to project Reid as a D2 at the moment certainly with the high ceiling possibly going beyond.
Timmy Lovejoy Timmy Lovejoy 6’7″ | PF Nitro | 2026 State WV became known to us during the state tournament in March. He immediately stands out being long and athletic. Lovejoy is very active on both ends and uses every ounce of his athletic ability to maximize his time on the floor. Lovejoy is an athletic leaper, slashing finisher and defensive stopper. He’s a handful for opposing coaches to deal with and plan for, and once his offensive skills develop he’ll be a serious matchup problem. Right now his length and athletic ability would land him on the D2 projection line but with some development he could end up higher.
Max Olejasz Max Olejasz 6’6″ | PF Wheeling Central Catholic | 2026 State WV is an up and coming post player as well as versatile player considering his guard skills and ability to be comfortable in the post. Max is a pure basketball player in our opinion, willing to fill any role on the floor and doing it well. Olejasz has the skills to face up and play on the wing, but as he showed in Charleston he is a solid post player and knows what to do with the ball on the block. Olejasz will certainly be a D2 player, but there’s a considerable chance he could keep growing and boost his stock in the next couple years.
Highlights
Alex Starcher Alex Starcher 6’5″ | PG Teays Valley Christian | 2026 State WV is the picture of combo-guard. He is a solid two-way guard with point guard skills which at his size makes him a problem for high school opponents as well as making several recruiting watchlists. Starcher spent nearly all of his sophomore year injured but we’d expect him back and better next season.
