With center [player_tooltip player_id='2377474' first='Stephen' last='Boggs'] in the mix they'll have a shot against anyone, not to mention long range specialist [player_tooltip player_id='2769604' first='Brady' last='Toler'] who can stretch any defense. I believe after missing the tournament last year Braxton comes back on a mission and a clear vision of what needs done to get there.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Petersburg</strong> brings back a team with talent, especially in the scoring department. Long range sniper [player_tooltip player_id='2385111' first='Caden' last='Ours'] has seen his recruiting heat up and carries that momentum into the season where he'll play with confidence and urgency to get the Vikings back to the Charleston hardwood.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Darkhorse</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Frankfort</strong> would be the team I'd have to turn to first here, however I believes there's multiple contenders including <strong>Phillip Barbour and South Harrison.</strong> Frankfort of course led by the aforementioned [player_tooltip player_id='2303389' first='Jeremy' last='Phillips'] who's the type of player that could take a game over late and boost through the regionals on a hot streak. South Harrison returns a lineup nearly intact from last season who took their lumps but return some talented and lengthy players who can score. Phillip Barbour returns a whopping seven seniors who could make a big push as they've done on the gridiron.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Regional Roundup</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This region is a region of unknowns. Several teams have big groups of returning varsity players but no super hyped players outside of a couple college prospects. There's a few programs like South Harrison and Phillip Barbour who seem to be on the rise and teams like Moorefield and Lincoln who may be trending downwards. While I think Braxton and Petersburg are the class of this region right now that could flip in a minute to teams like Frankfort, PB or even South Harrison who has had a very young but talented roster recently.
