Adidas 3SSB Championships: Thursday 16U Standouts

There were Top Prospects, Grassroots Programs, College Coaches, and Media Personalities from all over the country in attendance for an exciting day of Basketball. He is lightning-quick with the ball in his hands and can get downhill in a hurry. Once he does, Martay is both a smart passer and a crafty finisher which makes him hard to stop as a Point Guard. Barnes also has a bit of flair and is prone to some flashy passes and dribble moves, only making him even more of an exciting watch. On the defensive end, he will chip in with his active hands causing steals and making life difficult for his matchup. He is a name that has started to draw some major attention over the last few months including his participation with the US National Team and recent offers from Florida State, Seton Hall, and Missouri. He is a very good shooter with sound mechanics, deep range, and lots of confidence. Kayden is also a good athlete and had a couple of flashy finishes at the rim on Thursday. In the win, he put up 8 Points, 12 Rebounds, and 1 Block. Justin is very active on the defensive end and stood out with his hard hedging and general commitment to ball screen defense. He also will protect the rim with good size, length, and physicality. He had a strong performance for them on Thursday putting up 11 Points and 4 Steals. Lewis has a great handle, is quick enough to beat defenders off the dribble, is determined in getting to the rim or the free throw line, stays with his man on the defensive end, and will even take a charge when needed. He is the perfect prototype of a Big 3/Small 4 in the modern-day game. Green has good defensive instincts, is versatile on that end, can finish strongly at the rim, and can shoot off the dribble. Manny is particularly effective in the mid-range and does not need a lot of space to get his jumper off. He also crashed the glass on both ends of the floor and showed some passing skill after his opponents began to double him.
