This is a group that could change a lot over the coming months as some prospects will prove to be true point guards, while others will slide off the ball into scoring roles. For now, it's an impressive group of prospects that have proven capable of playing with or without the basketball in their hands.

Below, we'll take a look at three of the top ranked Combo Guards in the class, as well as three more that we'll be keeping our eyes on this summer.

THE TOP 3

Holding the #1 rank at the Combo Guard spot is [player_tooltip player_id='2341338' first='Ty' last='Tabales']. The New Hampton/Middlesex Magic product is a tenacious on-ball defender, makes quick decisions with the ball in his hands, and is a terrific off-ball cutter. He makes good reads in ball screens, is a high level perimeter shooter when he can step into his shot, and has turned into a dynamic ball-handler. Tabales had a strong spring and should be on the radar of numerous D1's by the end of the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2341425' first='Jayvian' last='Cruz'], of the Holderness School, checks in at #2. A long and lean lefty, Cruz creates a ton of space with his dribble moves and does a great job of reading angles. He changes speeds to manipulate the defensive, is a crafty passer, and has turned himself into a knock down shooter from deep. He plays with such good pace and is so creative on the offensive end, that it won't be long until scholarship level schools are following his every move.

A product of Deerfield Academy, [player_tooltip player_id='2341442' first='Jonathan' last='Ocasio'] claims the #3 ranking. Ocasio combines a high level of skill with intensity and toughness to consistently produce on both ends of the floor. He can really shoot it off the bounce, knows how to play off two feet, and does a great job of keeping his pivot foot alive to extend plays. He's one of the more naturally competitive prospects we've seen this summer and should only continue to impress going foward.

3 TO WATCH

[player_tooltip player_id='2465117' first='Ryan' last='Moesch'], a newcomer to the region, claims the #6 spot. After further review, we've probably mislabled and underranked Moesch, who is a true lead guard with an incredible feel for the game. He's a maestro in ball screens, is a crafty scorer, and just flat out knows how to run a team. He's one of the springs biggest stock risers and has popped even more during the scholastic periods. A definite scholarship prospect, he already holds multiple Division I offers.

A Rhode Island native, [player_tooltip player_id='2341426' first='Josh' last='Bergeron'] holds down the #12 spot in the rankings. Another prospect that might've been mislabled here, Bergeron is a three level scorer that play a key role for a Lincoln team that won a state championship last winter. He has good positional size, is a high IQ cutter, and really knows how to score in the mid-range. He's a prospect that will be fun to watch over the course of the next year and should take on a bigger role this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465142' first='Omar' last='Robinson'], from Pomfret School in Connecticut, ranks #13. Robinson stands out as a physically mature guard that has some serious explosiveness in the open floor. He utilizes his strength and toughness to wreak havoc as an on-ball defender and is elite in transition when he has the ball in his hands. He's another prospect that has impressed during the scholastic periods and should be a key contributor for an improved Pomfret squad this winter.
