Next on our line of content, we dive into our positional rankings separating them into guards, wings and forwards.
Here’s a look at part one of the top power forwards and centers in the class.
25)
Preston White
Preston
White
6'6" | PF
Gainesville | 2025
State
VA
| 6’5” PF | Gainesville (#107 Overall)
White was one of the most productive forwards in NOVA public schools this year, as his versatility at his size makes him very tough to match up with. He’s a strong forward who can get up and down the floor with the guards, he’s able to switch and guard multiple positions, he can face up and take defenders off the bounce and he’s excellent on the offensive glass.
24) Jack Lloyd Jack Lloyd 6'4" | PF Flint Hill | 2025 State VA | 6’4” PF | Flint Hill (#104 Overall)
Lloyd is a classic stretch big man who may be a little undersized but he knows how to play and opens things up for his teammates. He is great in pick-and-pops and is a good catch-and-shoot player from 15 feet and out, he uses his length to get deflections and challenge shots and he is surprisingly good at creating space off the bounce too.
23)
Cole Hoffman
Cole
Hoffman
6'9" | C
Manchester | 2025
State
VA
| 6’8” C | Manchester (#102 Overall)
Hoffan makes his debut after helping Manchester to a successful season this past year, and he’s a very intriguing prospect moving forward. At 6’8” he has height you can’t teach and moves relatively well for his size, he works well with his back to the basket and moves off the ball for duck ins and he has soft touch around the rim and out to 15 feet.
22)
Liam Koelsch
Liam
Koelsch
6'8" | C
West Potomac | 2025
State
VA
| 6’8” C | West Potomac (#97 Overall)
Koelsch is a very similar prospect who can dominate the paint at times while also stepping out, and he’s getting better and better every time we see him. His timing has gotten better and he works very well as a duck in and dunker spot big, he is an athletic finisher who can catch and finish above the rim and he’s a good rim protector who challenges shots and secures rebounds too.
21) Jordan Jackson Jordan Jackson 6'7" | PF Highland Springs | 2025 State VA | 6’6” PF | Highland Springs (#81 Overall)
Jackson is a very intriguing prospect as he has a lot of raw talent and some versatility to his game that should continue to get better moving forward. The 6’6′ forward is athletic and mobile with the ability to get up and down the floor and play above the rim, he has a soft shooting touch with the ability to stretch the floor and he has a lot of upside as a versatile defender too.
20)
Eann Pennix
Eann
Pennix
6'4" | PF
South County | 2025
State
VA
| 6’5” PF | South County (#73 Overall)
Pennix had a great season for South County and has continued that success with Higher Level this spring, and he’s a walking mismatch as a small ball four man. He’s able to stretch the floor and knock down shots from deep and in the midrange, he gets great positioning as a rebounder, he can put it on the deck and he can guard multiple positions as well.
19) Tyrell Beverly Tyrell Beverly 6'6" | PF Norcom | 2025 State VA | 6’6” PF | Norcom (#68 Overall)
Beverly is a new name in these rankings after his play at Norcom last season and his play with Team Push this spring, and he’s a late bloomer who could continue to see his stock rise moving forward. At 6’6” he’s a natural small ball four who is able to catch in the post or on the perimeter and put it on the deck, he’s an athletic finisher above the rim and rim protector and he still has a lot of room to get better moving forward.
18) Xavier Wilson Xavier Wilson 6'5" | C Colonial Forge | 2025 State VA | 6’5” C | Colonial Forge (#67 Overall)
Wilson is one of the most consistently productive players on this list, as he knows his game and plays to it while showing a good motor as well. He’s a bruiser in the paint who throws his body around and creates space to finish, he attacks the glass and protects the rim defensively, he has soft touch over the shoulders and he can step out to the elbows as well.
17)
Michael Manser
Michael
Manser
6'7" | PF
Virginia Academy | 2025
State
VA
| 6’7” PF | VA Academy (#61 Overall)
Manser is a very intriguing prospect for high academic schools to take a look at, as he is not only a versatile forward but also an elite student-athlete as well. At 6’7” Manser is a perimeter oriented big who can make shots from deep and stretch the defense, he runs the floor in transition and is a good finisher and he has a high IQ to make plays and rotate well defensively too.
16) Matt Henderson Matt Henderson 6'6" | PF Powhatan | 2025 State VA | 6’6” PF | Powhatan (#60 Overall)
Henderson is a two sport star who also thrives on the football field for Powhatan, and he’s a high ceiling prospect with a lot of upside moving forward. At 6’6” he’s strong enough to guard in the paint and athletic enough to guard on the perimeter, he’s excellent in transition with his ability to run the floor and play above the rim and he can knock down shots when he’s left open too.
