Starting on June 21st at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, over 2000 players from around the nation will compete across 10 brackets in the annual National Summer tournament Section 7.

Arizona will be well represented in the event and below are the top five matchups of day one featuring Arizona teams.

Basha vs Oak Ridge (FL) 1:15 PM

[player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] faces off against Jalen Reece in a dream matchup of elite point guards. Reece and Magee are amazing with the ball in their hands whether they're setting up their teammates for baskets or getting to their spots and knocking down shots as well. Expect a lot of offense and a lot of coaches watching this battle.

O'Connor vs Corona Centennial (CA) 2:30 PM

This battle could be the national coming out party for [player_tooltip player_id='1333492' first='Michael' last='Simcoe'] who has seen his recruitment skyrocket over the past three months but could see it reach new levels if he plays his game in this matchup. Point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1217315' first='TayVion' last='Wilson'] is due for a stellar senior season that could break his recruitment open and a great game against a tough Corona Centennial perimeter defense could get the ball rolling.

Riverside Poly (CA) vs San Tan Charter 5 PM

This is the ultimate test for San Tan Charter who has had a fantastic month of June. Led by guard [player_tooltip player_id='1986796' first='Peyton' last='Lubash'], the Roadrunners have defeated powerhouse programs Millennium and Brophy and rolled through their qualifier bracket winning each game by an average of 43 points. With the dynamic duo of Lubash and [player_tooltip player_id='1285934' first='Zaire' last='Richardson'] running the show, San Tan Charter could make a statement to the West Coast that they're a force.

Sierra Canyon (CA) vs Saint Mary's 6:15 PM

Every fan in the building will be watching this matchup to see Sierra Canyon's Bryce James but every major college coach will be watching Saint Mary's [player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'] in his first interscholastic game since his updated recruiting ranking was released. Williams is the prototype for the modern power forward. A spacer offensively who shows defensive versatility and can control the paint.

Millennium vs St Joseph (CA) 7:30

The headline matchup in this game is junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] versus senior Tounde Yessoufou. This battle was seen last year at the event and recently at the Pangos All-American Camp. These two players can dominate defensively, space the floor, and can jump out of the gym to either block shots or slam it home with authority. This matchup has the potential to highlight [player_tooltip player_id='1301344' first='Kingston' last='Tosi'] as well as Holmes and Tosi play off each other and set each other up for success on the offensive end.
