The PAC (Pacers Athletic Center) League, which now extends to a couple of other facilities as well, brings many of the best teams from the greater Indianapolis area together on Tuesday nights in June. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground to cover the action. Let’s dive on in and highlight some of the top individuals performers from the second week of games at the Pacers Athletic Center.
You won’t find many guards in the state of Indiana with more experience this season than Cannady. He has gotten run in the Cathedral High School backcourt dating back to his freshman season and is now ready to lead his team as a senior. Cannady displayed excellent pace with the ball in his hands on Tuesday night. He still is quick in the open floor and has a burst when getting downhill, but never appears sped up. That level of processing and poise will translate to the next level as will his high-motor which helps on the defensive end of the floor as well.
There is plenty of scoring to replace at Brebeuf Jesuit as they were hit pretty hard by graduation, but on Tuesday night this talented guard showed that he is capable of stepping into a primary scoring role. Ford was consistently creating, and making, tough shots off of the dribble from a variety of spots on the floor in two games against Park Tudor and Bethesda Christian. His overall playmaking ability should start to really flourish now that he has the keys to the proverbial car for the Braves this coming season.

Haffner continues to come on strong this spring and was looking like a potential go-to threat for a Westfield team that will need to reload this coming season. The 6’3″ guard has impressive positional size and length on the wing and has proved himself as one of the more consistent catch-and-shoot threats in the class. He was shooting them in at a high percentage on Tuesday night with a very quick release and deep range. The upcoming Charlie Hughes Showcase could serve as a launching off point for him.

You can’t teach 6’9″-6’10” and Milan brings that to the table. Now, he is really starting to show some flashes of development as well which make him an intriguing prospect at the next level. Milan’s activity level on Tuesday night was high consistently getting his hands on rebounds, finishing putbacks, and protecting the rim defensively. He is a willing rim-runner and can be effective on the roll as well. There are definitely some tools to work with and his pure size establishes a high floor for what he can bring to the table for Ben Davis this season.

Nelson was one of the more impressive forwards from Tuesday night’s action at the PAC League. The 6’6″-6’7″ Franklin High School product moves around really well for his size initiating offense out on the perimeter for the Grizzly Cubs. He was consistently used in handoff action, kept the ball moving, and then would pick his spots to use his blend of size and athleticism to turn the corner and attack the rim off of the dribble. After a really good spring, Nelson continues to be an intriguing small college prospect that will be highly sought after for months to come.

This long, lanky, 6’5″ guard from North Central High School has made a real impression this spring. Petty has emerged as a pure shooting threat from beyond the arc which, when paired with his size, makes him a really intriguing prospect. He doesn’t need much room at all to squeeze off his shot and it goes in at a good percentage. Then, when you closeout to him more aggressively, he has shown the ability to consistently knock down the one or two dribble pull-up in the mid-range. Petty is really coming into his own as an all-around scoring threat and should blossom into a larger scoring role this season for the Panthers.
There simply aren’t very many better pure scorers and shot-makers in Indiana’s Class of 2025 than this North Central High School guard. Rivera recently earned his first scholarship offers from Lenoir Rhyne and John C. Smith which are both NCAA Division II programs. There will likely be more to come on that front. He was really good on Tuesday night showcasing his ability to create his own shot and score off of the dribble in ballscreen situations consistently. Poised for a big senior season.
