May 3rd-5th I attended the annual Bash in the Desert at the Phhacility and Valley Vista HS locations. It had nearly 60 teams total and I watched 80% of all the teams to form a good opinion of the field.

I watched 10+ of the 15U teams on Sunday the 5th and

Here are my 15U Standout 2027 Guards that I viewed:

[player_tooltip player_id='2407207' first='Malachi' last='Mims'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] Prelude 15 Rohde) (Pictured)

A defensive combo guard is a menace on the ball. He has quick feet and hands and uses his strength and length to keep players in front of him. He can make plays for his teammates plus pull-up from mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2432281' first='Preston' last='Friend'] Highland (East Valley Select 15)

A combo guard just may of been the best shooter in the building on 15U. He probably was the leading scorer in the division with multiple 30+ points games He has a true strap from the three point line and he is one of the those players that every shot looks good with an easy stroke. He is also a good passer and plays from the neck up.

[player_tooltip player_id='2433294' first='Sam' last='Bent'] Highland (East Valley Select 15)

A scoring guard has a sturdy frame and can catch and shoot from the three point line. He plays a little on or off the ball and makes smart reads. He has a compact stroke and makes it look easy at times.

Ajay Vigil Cleveland/NM (D1 New Mexico D1 2027)

A top of the food chain shooter who can make plays for his teammates. He may be undersized but has a stocky frame and comes with deep range and a quick trigger. He plays perfectly off of his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146240' first='Nickolas' last='Williams'] Fairfax ([program_tooltip program_id='2407834' first='AZ' last='Phenoms'] 15)

A long shooting guard can score, make plays and defend. He gets downhill with his longer strides, he can hit the three off the catch or pull and uses his big wingspan to keep his opponents in front of them.

Kington Saul SG 5'10 2027 Vista Murrieta/CA (Gamepoint IE 2027)

A scoring guard handles it well and is a good passer and will drive and kick it. He plays the game with a high IQ and scores it with an unorthodox shooting release from the three point line. He can pull-up from mid-range, scores on offensive rebound put backs and will score thru contact. He plays off of two feet and will go up and score in the post.

[player_tooltip player_id='2422556' first='Henry' last='Matus'] Canyon Del Oro (Valley Elite 15)

A long shooting guard can score from all levels with good size. He can pull-up from mid-range and hit the three. He is a good passer with a feel for the game and will rebound well with his size.

[player_tooltip player_id='2291971' first='Jackson' last='Gillard'] Campo Verde ([program_tooltip program_id='2422356' first='3D' last='Hoops'] 15)

A defensive combo guard pressures the ball well and collects steals. He will move the ball and will hustle to rebound and will even block a shot. He can hit the open three and is very competitive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146241' first='Creighton' last='Wirth'] Campo Verde ([program_tooltip program_id='2422356' first='3D' last='Hoops'] 15)

A combo guard is a phenomenal passer up the court on a rope. The lefty has a versatile game and comes with deep three point range and a high feel for the game. He is quick enough to get to the basket and plays unselfishly.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397454' first='Patrick' last='Hahn'] Erie/CO (BC Elite 2027)

A natural scorer from all three levels. He can score with off the dribble threes or off the catch. He has an elusive handle to get passed his defenders and get to the basket to score.
