Over the course of the weekend the Romeoville Athletic Center and the Wintrust Sports Complex hosted 211 teams and over 800 games featuring teams from all over the country (and beyond in some cases). As always, our staff had boots on the ground throughout the weekend providing unparalleled coverage before, during, and now after the event. Nobody does content and event coverage like Prep Hoops! Now, as we start to recap a great weekend, let’s take a look back at some of the individual standouts from the Hoosier state at the Chi-Town Tip Off.
Barnes was absolutely dominant in a pair of wins on Sunday scoring 28 points as Indiana Game UA Rise 2025 defeated All in Athletics Figueroa 3SGB 75-55. Then, he went off for 38 points, including six three-point shots, in a hard fought 86-84 win over M14 Hoops Adidas Gold. The dynamic 6’1″ guard earned another Division I offer from Le Moyne after his outstanding performance at the Prep Hoops Chi-Town Tip Off.
One of the standout Class of 2027 prospects from the weekend, this South Bend Adams High School guard helped lead 5Star Basketball 2027 to a 3-1 weekend. Dixon scored 23 points to begin the weekend in win Saturday morning and then capped it off with 28 points in a close loss on Sunday afternoon.

Coming off of a great freshman season for Fort Wayne Snider, Hogue continued his strong play for Indiana Game UA Rise 2027. He can really shoot the basketball as showcased by making four three-point shots against Team Herro EYBL on Sunday afternoon. However, he also continues to grow his game off of the dribble to become an all-around pure scorer. It was a very productive weekend for him.
This 6’7″ big man was a consistent force around the basket all weekend long for Indiana Attack Basketball Club 2026 as they went 4-0 at the Chi-Town Tip Off. Horvath scored 17, 17, 18, and 20 points respectively in their four games dominating with his size and strength on the block.

One of the more underrated guards in Indiana’s Class of 2026, Jones showed his playmaking abilities throughout the weekend for 5Star Basketball 3SGB on their way to a perfect 4-0 record. Jones can score the basketball from any spot on the floor whether it is stretching the defense as a shooter, operating off of a ballscreen, or creating his own shot. However, he really stood out as a passer as well. All-around playmaker that should have a breakout spring and summer.
Another standout for the 5Star Basketball 3SGB 2026 squad that went undefeated on the weekend, this 6’5″ forward from Northridge High School was excellent around the basket and on the glass. Scholl can score it with his back to the basket and cleans up a lot of misses around the rim. After a big sophomore season look for him to experience a breakout spring and summer.

One of the better pure scorers in the Class of 2026 that you may not have heard much about from Indiana, Tolbert Jr started to breakout this weekend playing with Indiana Game UA Rise 2026. He has a strong, athletic frame that allows him to play through contact on the perimeter and a smooth jump shot to stretch the defense. Tolbert Jr.’s best performance came in a 65-62 win over Meanstreets EYBL as he scored 24 points to lead the way.
